When to change the plugs on the car today and this is what happened.

There does not appear to be any type of wire or anything that was attached to the spring that i ripped out.

Now i cannot get the spring to stay inside without just falling out.

Here is the best close up i can get of the inside of the coil pack.

Does anyone know how to get the spring to stay in place??? Or am i stuck buying a new one.

Any help is appreciated.

The just stick in there under spring pressure. You should be able to pop it back in, possibly have to stretch the spring a little to give it some holding power.

Try putting some diealectric grease in there and then the spring.

Both of the above are good ideas, but be weary of carbon tracking. If the spring isnt seated very well it can make the spark jump and cause a misfire. G/L man!

Pull off one of the other coilpacks and see how the spring attaches.
