Ok, so im having a little problem with my brother's car( Ls VTEC turbonetics t3/t04e 17lbs 850cc injectors ethanol tuned with hondata S300) . i can't seem to get a flawless antilag start. i have tried an assortment of different ways to build boost and they all work. building boost is not the problem. it builds full boost off the antilag. its when he releases the clutch, the car just bogs looses all power and boost so then we just lag through 1st gear. i tried it with a gentle setup and a violent one and its all the same. as soon as the clutch comes out the car doesn't even have enough power to spin the slicks in the water box. its not an issue of too big a slick because it does it on street tires too. the rpm is not too low(7200) thats for sure. its not like we forgot to have the setting turn off its set to go off at the lowest speed hondata will let us go. so the anti lag turns off at 6mph. i think that's the lowest it let us go.
the only thing i can think of that is screwing it up and i dont know why it would, is that i have the activation rpm about 800 rpm lower than the rev limit rpm for the antilag setting. the only reason why i did this was to get rid of that bounce that hondata has. this way it builds almost all the boost we need before it even taps the limiter once and when it does get to the limiter it has a very small bounce so it keeps the revs more consistent. could that be whats bogging it down on the launch for some reason?

when we turn off the 2step settings completely the car runs great. burns out just fine in the water box with the slicks and drives like a normal car off the start. any ideas? i can attach the maps or the data logs and even video (of course i would have video ;) ) if you need to look at them to figure it out, but im stumped. im still new to the tuning world obviously so forgive me if its a really stupid and simple fix lol. anyone?

If you can attach (or e-mail me @ tobi@tcperf.com) the cal file and a datalog of the actual problem I would be happy to take a look at it and see if there is anything I can see. How are you activating it? clutch switch or 'always on'?

ok i have my brother send me that stuff and ill post it tomorrow. thanks tobi. i have it on all the time btw. i tried it with the ac switch too, but i figured he would never be below 6mph and at 7k so i just turned it on all the time.

Tobi will get this a for sure answer, but I think your assumption on the activation RPM is correct. When he actually launches it is dropping below the activation point. I'll bet if you set it to activate at 3000rpm it'll stay in boost.

Tobi you came through as usual. i just got back from Nebraska and the car ran perfect. we used your map and it spun the tires right off the line. people were wondering why we were happy about a 2.4 60ft but they didnt realize we were glad it made power off the line. we adjusted from there and got the 60ft down to 1.70 and an 1/8 mi time of 7.62. we were at an 1/8 mile track unfortunately because it trapped 96mph so i was pretty happy and knew it was going to be able to stretch its legs on the second 1/8. there was also a lot of room for driving as well. we did not bring a trailor so i lifted and made sure i didnt beat on the tranny too hard. i think it has a 7.40 in it for sure with a little more tweaking with the tire pressure and suspension and launch rpm. thanks again tobi, you're the man!ill post a video as soon as i get it all off the camera.
