View Full Version : Secondary o2 Wiring

ok, so I accidentally ripped out my secondary o2 sensor (ripped on the harness side) Does anyone have a diagram or know the color to color, from harness wire to o2 sensor wire (i.e: harness side wire color = o2 sensor wire color)

car is 97 civic d16y7

Nick, aren't you running an engine management? Just disable the secondary O2. Or, you can come look at mine if you want.

no... no engine managment... and Even if i did disable it.. I still want to have it wired right...

your o2 sensor wires on the harness side *should* be color coded

I did this too (only for my primary o2 sensor, as im obd1, i only have 1) when the wires got pinched between the tranny and the block.

I just matched the colors back up when i re-wired it, and it works fine. Easy fix if you know where the break is.

if its ripped out at the plug (like the female connections fell out of the plug) then you'll have to check with someone who can get a wiring diagram.

Not 100% sure on where they're ripped.

there is no plug, it was hard-wired (in order to extend it) it ripped apart where it was wired together.

well, you have two wires that are heater, and they should be the same color. doesnt matter if you cross them. then the other two are signal and ground. shouldnt be too hard to figure out, but i dont know exactly what the problem is that youre facing. you probably know everything that ive just told you.

Is that the same with Ob2 wiring with 4 wires? with coloring? I am without a front 02 sensor and failed emissions because of not having it. I got a sensor but dont know where to connect it to in the wiring since its a differant motor and hardwired. . any help or suggestions?
