Ive looked and lookd and I cant seem to find a straight answer about a couple things. Am I going to need the axles? The only information I can find that talked about the axles is written for 4th gen civics. Aslo with the 2000 civic beinc considered an obd2b and the b16a being considered an obd2 am i going to have anything extra to wire up? Im hoping to get this swap going by next month so any help would be great.

when you swap the motors, it should come with the new ECU & sensors. that'll take care of your obd worries

& you'll probably need the axles

you will need the axles from the b16a. motor and tranny.
there's also a half shaft(axle to tranny) on the drivers side.
the civic axles wont fit the B series tranny
the B series axles however fit in the civic hubs.
as far as the ecu goes. i'm not aware of an ob2 setup from japan, only the b16a from the 99-00 si,if yours is not obd2(JDM) then you can convert yours to obd1 with a harness adaptor
hope this helps.

Yeah what 12sec said.

Oh and you will need to wire up the VTEC.

If your getting the B16A2 it should just be a direct bolt in. Since your car is OBDII, and the A2 is OBDII also then you shouldnt have any problems with all the wiring or what not.
