so my friend is debating on buying this integra for $1000 its a 92 everything is hella clean anyways i talked to his mom and she took it to a mechanic she knows and they said the brake booster and mc need to be replaced. 1. i was woundering how hard is it to replace this unit being the pipe on it are probably 16 years old. 2. could i put a (DC) integra brake booster and mc in it. and 3. is there any upgraded brake boosters and mc or anything he could do to make his (DA) spot on a dime

thanks for your time in reading this i appriciate all the help and information

I dont know about DC2 Brake booster and mc fit into a DA but it pretty simple to install. There's plenty of DA at junkyard and you should able to get them for around $50.

If you can't find the parts in good condition used and have to buy them new, I've found the whole setup new/remanned for under $300 both online and in most autoparts stores.

the MC is really easy to replace, just use vice grips to break the lines loose, and if you have a 10mm "line wrench" use that to tighten them. if not a regular 10mm wrench will work.

if you try to use a wrench to loosen them you will strip them as the fittings are soft metal

the booster is kinda a bitch to get to the bolts. its easy with the dash out, but pretty hard with the dash in. it can be done though with the right combination of extensions and wobbly/swivel/universal sockets.

and i am pretty sure on from a DA will fit.
just make sure that the bolt holes for the MC align correctly.

oh also i would buy new. if a foreign fluid gets in the resovoir, or if it sits dry that can ruin the seals, and it will not work.
