Changed my plugs this past weekend. Drove the car around after changing the plugs and everything was fine.

Met a buddy for lunch today, as i was leaving, i had to merge into traffic and pushed the car pretty hard. Then turned down a side street.

Then the car was running very rough, and exhaust tone was louder. Reving it sounded like it was backfiring.

Pulled over immediately. Got tools and since i just change the plugs, that was the first thing i wanted to check. Pulled the coil pack on the 2nd cylidner and no change at all in the way the motor ran. When unplugging all the other coil packs the car would run more rough or die.

Limping it to my friend house (a few blocks away) it started running fine again. Reved fine, was running nice and smooth.

Made it home, and unplugged the same coil pack and it started running rough again.

Changed the plugs back to the older plugs, and its fine again.

Sounds like you fouled out a plug and it eventually dried up.

some of the Honda COP coil packs can fail. Move it to a different hole and if it starts acting up again see if your problem moved to the cylinder where you moved the coil. If it stays in the same hole, you have a plug or injector issue. If the problem moved, then the coil is failing.

thx for the advice. i will move the coil pack to see if it follows.

With the way the problem is intermittent, I'd check wiring to the coil packs.
