So I just got over to a couple of friends house just hangin around when all the sudden I hear an alarm. I thought to myself "Na, no way it's mine" then the sense pulled to me to go check. Well I went down to my car and press the alarm button and it made an additional 2 beeps and sure as shit the window has been flexed and the little safety tab on the window track got bent back. A guy met me out at my car and was already on the phone with the cops. He said he saw the guy that was trying to get in it, he had on a black hoodie with the hood over his head and ran north. Although he got in he didn't take a damn thing, left the cd player and all my shit in the glove box and center console was untouched. The cops showed up and took my report within like ten minutes. All I have to say is this pussy got lucky as shit I second guessed what I heard, I've woken up to my alarm a few times but no ones ever gotten into my shit, I feel fuckin violated.

Yeah, because 20-life is soooo worth the value of a car.
When I am elected president, defending your property will not be a crime!

I'm no lawyer but as it's written now in Colorado it's not against the law to use physical force. Therefore you could go out and confront the thief and kick his ass. If the tables turn and he pulls a gun or a knife or if you fear for your life, you are within the law to use deadly force.
That being said you should just call the cops and let them deal with it, it's their job. There's still consequences to lawfully taking someone's life. You can figure at least $50k in civil lawsuits even if no charges are ever brought up.

Yeah Eric I'll vote for you also. Believe me next time will be no question once I hear that alarm. I know it's really not necessary to kill someone over a car and you're right 20-to life wouldn't be worth it but I think I might have some fun with the theives if I catch them next time.

thats good to see someone helping out a total stranger also by calling the cops.
as much as i would like to shoot someone, i think i would get a good description of the thieves and let the cops handle it. If a life was in danger, that is a different story.

Yeah I couldn't believe that either. It seems like the first thing on someones mind when something wrong that they don't want anything to do with anyone else's troubles, and just mind their own business. This guy said he just moved from about 44th and Kipling and this was a weekly occurance in his complex, so he said he was glad to help me out and sempt really concerned. Lucked out, I think when I go out from now on I will have someone else pick my ass up so I don't go through this mess again. This was the first time this has happened to me and it's gotta be the last.

And what happens when you fuck with the wrong thief and he shoots you dead on your street, or kicks your ass just because you think you are a bad ass and can take him?

Well then it happens I guess. It'd be hard to just stand there and witness this and not do a damn thing. Neither one of my cars stays away from the house any more. I know this really wasn't relevent in my case, but theres a .40 with hollow points close at hand when I'm sleeping so if I were to ever hear an alarm and plan on approaching him I wouldn't take it lightly.
Besides I am built like a god damn tooth pick. I think it would be my only choice, lol

Seems that it would be pretty simple to cap their ass, open the trunk and dump them in, then take a drive to a field and dump the body.
Just keep the following in mind:
1. Nobody knows that the thief was going to your house to steal crap in the first place.
2. Make good friends with your neighbors, that way they won't call the cops and will prolly help you dump the guy in your trunk if the thief is a fat ass.
3. Thieves are not afraid to do 20-life, so neither should you :M:

Thats why man invented blunt objects like billy clubs and such. I know exactly what to grab if I hear someone getting into my shit. They will (very swiftly) get hit with a small aluminum bat I bought Just for that purpose. I wont pull the shotgun out unless I am pretty convinced they intend to do me serious harm.

Sounds like a lovely fairy tail. Some details are missing though....
How would you evaluate their intentions? 100 question written test? Interview?
Do you think you're a ninja? What if in the process of sneaking up behind the thief he heard you and pulled a gun? You'd be feeling pretty stupid standing there with a baseball bat.
Would you plan ahead and keep the shotty in your back pocket or would you ask the thief to stay put while you went back inside to grab it after you discovered they were out to do some harm? You wouldn't carry a bat in one hand and a shotgun in the other, would you?
Man invented blunt objects like clubs in the stone age. You'd be better off with a spear from the ice age.
The point is, get real. Keep your shotgun for defensive protection and let the police handle it. A radio or even the whole car isn't worth dying for.

Obviously them breaking into my car would not warrant me to feel it necessary to pull out the Gun, or even feel remotely threatened for my life. That was a stupid assumption. However if someone is trying to kick down my front door whilst im inside, I think it pretty obvious what there intentions are...at which point...out comes the 12 Ga. Which is why I said "pretty convinced they intend to do me serious harm", AS IN I have to be genuinly scared for my life because of something they are doing. Its not a maybe/maybe not scenario, it would have to be a No question about it situation, for me to pull out the firearm. Believe it or not I am actually pretty cautious about that type of thing.
As for the rest of your smart ass response, I feel no need to try and explain, as I think you will try to pick it apart any way. Although I will say I stand a much better chance than you try and make it seem, regardless of whether or not I am making the "safer" decision or not.
I am just being honest and stating that I would be pissed off greatly and probably try to do something about it, if put in that situation. Its not a decision I need someone approve of, or pick apart just to tell me its not the safest route to go when I already know. I realize the danger I would potentially be bringing upon myself, and would exercise as much caution as I possibly could given the situation.
Thanks anyways Brandon. But you can go ahead and hide out inside "safe and sound" if you are ever in this situation. I obviously would choose another path, but thats me.

The thief is breaking into your car so he can push the button on your garage door opener, which allows him to walk into your house while you are asleep.
The stupid assumption is that you are safe with someone just breaking into your car...;)

Umm actually my garage is seperate from my house.....so the stupid assumption is in fact your own this time, buttercup. Nice try though. Then again maybe you know the layout of the property better than I

Is it always all about you?
I am sure you are going to try to convince us next that your aluminum baseball bat is less lethal in the same situation....
Well, maybe in your hands ;)

Are you serious?
Not its not Always about me, buuuuuuuuuuuut....................
When you say that I am making a STUPID assumption by assuming that I am safe(In my own home, no less). Then I would have to say that in this case yes, its all about me.
Its not hard to see how this would appply to most people though, but I wasn't referring to anyone else but me in my previous posts.
Something tells me you are not srsly serious though. Nice try anyways sugartitts.
