I am building a project car aimed at performance and mileage.I currently own a 96 hx with a complete d16y8 swap. The car runs great but I am considering an eg hatchback.I had a 92 hatch w a y8 swap and I liked it just fine.any ideas as to which would be better? I know the hatch is lighter but I think the coupe is a little bit better as far as cd goes.Either way it will be a 96-98 y8 under da hood.lol j

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Do you wanna have a full DD? I think this is total Preference on your end, I'd say Hatch but that's just me. Whats your main goal?

Ok I will try to be more specfic. Goals ,160 lbs trq at the fywheel na,4 wheel disc.Honestly I would like to use light-wieght,good areodynamics and the right powertrain to get hybrid like numbers without being a slug to drive.I may be aiming a wee bit high but what the heck.thx just

well 160 foot pound feet of torque on either will move pretty good, I'd say go with a 4 door if you have a family or drive alot with friends...

I had a built 98 ex 4dr but as it is just me and the girlfriend a coupe or hatchback would work. the car would be driven about 40-50k a year so mpg is a primary concern.
