The Dirty D died today. Roughly 138k on it and it had enough this afternoon.
Congrats to Eric, Rich, and Sam for taking 1,2, and 3 respectively in the pro class today.

Bummer about the motor, Josh. No time like the present for a rebuild, eh? :)

This is true, but it will have to wait until after the wedding. I'll haveto build up some funds now.

No shit - how long have we known each other? Not in the biblical sense, of course...

And I tell ya, after not being at the track for a number of years, it sure made me want to get a clutch & some big injectors in my car. :)

One D dies as another one comes to life :D Actually drove my piece down there today!

Any idea what the new build will entail, or have you thought about it yet in your mourning yet? :p

M@, was your truck the one w/ the big STFU on the back? My bro' thought that was funny :)

Most likely H beams, golden eagle block guard, and some weiscos. We'll see though.

Cool, that's my bottom end minus the block guard. I should have got it sleeved :(

Sorry about your motor, Josh. :( If nothing else, you can throw a replacement D in there for dirt cheap I'm sure...

do you have to get the block machined to put the block guard in?

Yes sir, otherwise you risk putting the cylinders out of round.

Ben, it will indeed. Just a matter of how long until it does. I am very proud of what was accomplished with this motor. All things considered, it should never have lasted this long. :)
