wow, its almost like the republic of boulders "ban dogs because it scares wild life" ideals has made it down south further. More and more we seem to loose legal places to drive for fun. I hope the Motorsports Country Club finds its nich here.......
In 3 words - PMI sucks. Period.

PMI drag strip sucks, PMI road course is awesome. I better quit my job and start riding as many track days as I can before it gets shut down
Haha. I went to that track once to only watch and laughed hysterically at their pathetic organizational skills. I'm all for them shutting down that shit hole.

I really don't have a huge preference either way but renting the track out for a day is a great deal and a lot of fun if thats what your into. Me and several friends have rented it twice and had a blast.

As usual, the media is full of crap and blows things out of proportion. Here's the message from the track's board of directors...
To our loyal customers,
The Board of Directors for Pueblo Motorsports wants to assure each racer and customer the 2008 season events continue on schedule. The longstanding tradition of Friday night drags is as exciting as ever. Our weekend events continue to draw racers from throughout the state of Colorado. We are engaged in positive conversations with the Pueblo City Council resulting in many park improvements. Pueblo Motorsports Park is moving forward and will be better than ever. Pueblo Motorsports park is NOT closing so plan your days and weekends with us.
Change is a part of life. Rumors abound when change takes place. Let us state for the record, the Board of Directors is working diligently and we look forward to seeing you at the facility before long.
Thank you for your continued support of Pueblo Motorsports Park.
Board of Directors,
Pueblo Motorsports, Inc.

I've personally never been to the Pueblo track. I've heard some negative things about the quality of their drag strip. On the contrary, I've heared that their roadcoarse is pretty damn good. I've always wanted to check that out. I hope they stay open.
