Kind of mind blowing in the simplicity of the idea.

Thats neat. I could see them using this for certain aspects of a production car. Like the wing or head lights.
Just don't have an accident?

If you hit a pedestrian, I wonder if they would bounce?

I really want to know the crash test rating on that car. I think it would hurt to get hit by that thing.

WTF!! That thing is crazy sounds pretty cool though. It would neat to be able to change the shape of your car at the push of a button.

someone keying your car is the least of your worries with this thing. a good old fashioned magpie purple poop stain would really ruin your day.

Just don't have an accident?
Why not? The trip to the body shop would be cheaper and easier, and you'd be just as safe.
No paint guy, and the body guy would only have to replace the damaged parts of the space frame.
And cloth is a lot cheaper than fenders/hoods/bumpers. \
I would like to see the car sans fabric.
