View Full Version : I can not decide on a rim

Well ladies and gentlemen i've spent a week looking for rims and I can not decide.. the ones that look good are heavy.. or they extende out too much and I will have rubbing in the rear and would need to roll my fenders (no thanks)... Or they are 400 per rim (no thanks)...

But so far I like these momo designs but I can not find the weight... So I will not take a risk (I want each rim to be below 21 pounds).
My car is a Black MazdaSpeed 3 and I finally have the funds to buy summer rims (make the stock ones for winter). The factory rims are 18x7 5x114.3 Offset is 52.5mm

I've been looking at the 7.5x18 to prevent rubbing. So far I've found a handfull of lightweight 18x7.5 offset 45mm rims. But they may look odd on my car (small) because of the way the Lips are. So far the Enkei EVO5, EVO6, and RSV have my attention but as i said earlier they may look odd. I'm not sure it 8in rims will rub or not in the rear but there are way more nicer looking lightweight 8in rims... Tenzos have some nice designes too.

anyway heres the list! I appreciate any feedback/suggestions! It doesnt have to be one from this list so if you know a nice set of rims then feel free to suggest them :)

5Zigen ZR+ 520s (SO sexy but dunno the weight.. and i think i read somewhere they were around 26pounds for 18in 7.5.. yikes)

Enkei RSV hands down. I wouldnt recomend any of the 5 spoke rims, aside from Work Meisters, i dont think 5 spoke rims look that good in a size that big.

either way i think 18's are too big for that car, even though they come that size stock.

dont go cheap on rims, save up and spend that 400 per rim, you wont regret it. looks at some of the wheels that work offers, gram lights are nice too. those too arent too expensive

What about these. You can get them for a good price and they are light and sexy.

400 a rim is nice but why waste the money when they're gunna get bent cause of the roads. You can find decent rims for around 100 and its no big deal when they will eventually get ruined.
