Well, my jetta is finally gone. i'll miss her. kinda.

For those that didn't hear, my jetta caught on fire (interior) so it was totaled out.

Even stranger, i bought an SUV to replace it.

So not 100% sure on what caused the first, but it looks like it was from the wiring from the heated seats. Crazy that it burninated enough to be totalled out...

As for what replaced it, no picts, but I picked up a 2002 S/C'd Nissan Xterra. Definately a pig compared to my VW, but that's ok because i'm not quite in to cars like i used to be.

It's nice, reliable, and I won't have to worry about snow like I used to. I doubt i'll really do anything to it either except super minor stuff (stereo, intake, and beefier exhaust).

What year was your jetta? Its more common then you think. I used to work for VWOA at Adesa Auto Auction you should have looked into a possible recall.
