Just a quick simple question. So, you know you have all your performance and internal cleaner lliquids that you can buy. For example the Octane Booster and Fuel Line Cleaner. Well all of them also say to put a full tank of gas in your car than just pur the stuff right in. Well, my question is, If I but multiple cleaners and what not, canm I just add all of that stuff in at once at a full tank? Or will it hurt or my car, or will it just be so much that will be completley innofective?

I'd avoid octane booster all together and use one fuel system cleaner;I recommend BG's 44K and it's pricey but it works.

Why avoid the octane booster? Just curious.

Techron is cheap, easy to find, and is recommended by Porsche and other high performance car makers, so that's what I use.

If you have clogged injectors pull them and clean em out the right way, take them some place to be sonic bathed in solvent and then flow tested if possible..
Replace your fuel filters and perhaps look at buying a better fuel filter after running any cleaner through. Then avoid running shitty gasoline, Ive been pretty happy with using all shell fuels in my car.

If you need detonation protection from higher octane consider running a Water/Methanol setup or even perhaps E85

the octane booster is a complete rip-off, it boosts you something like 0.1% on the average size tank.. for the $2 you spend on that bottle fill it up with premium and get a real benefit.

So if Porsche recommended bubble gum as a sealer you would use it?

Same here. I will only put Shell in my car/truck, unless there isn't one nearby which very rarely happens.

This is so freaking hilarious to me on so many different levels, I can't even explain it.

The only time I havent put shell in my car was last summer while on vacation, was somewhere in middle of nowhere Montana and didnt have any choice.. 10 mins after filling up I am pulled over at the side of the road and was pulling my timing back trying to tame the pinging.. think that shit was mostly water

Shell cost like 20-30 more cents a gallon from every where i've seen except the highlands ranch one on Quebec and C470. I fill up at safeway costco wall mart and more often than those sinclar or bradleys. 91 octane is 91 unless someone can show me an article that shows otherwise.

That's weird. The Shell's in Thornton are only about 5-10 cents more, at the most. So, for all 15 gallons I put in, I'm spending a whopping $1.50 more for gas that all my cars have always ran better on. lol

In my Porsche, sure. But until then, I'll be using Hondabond. :D

It's hilarious that someone takes the recommendation of their car's manufacturer? I'll have to remember to laugh my ass off the next time I see someone putting 5w30 into a Honda that has 5w30 specified on it's oil cap...
