Well...I got the car on Thursday. I'm pretty happy with it....great value for the money in my opinion...definately a great replacement for the Civic Si.
Its a Arctic Blue Pearl, Acura RSX Type S, 2003. Had an entire 3 miles on it when I picked it up...good stuff. :)
Anyway..here are some pictures.

(better idea of what the color really looks like...black leather interior goodness)
Anyway, I was planning on getting the car with the side skirts and all that...but the dealer was a little confused I think. I dont really care at this time...I still love how the car looks.
LoJack is getting installed tuesday...and windows tinted shortly after that. OE fogs and skirts are definately on the near-term parts list. Anyone else have any suggestions for it?

Congrats on the new ride. It's nice! Could you ask the dealer how much it would cost for a person to get LoJacks installed for me?

Awesome! Love the color and the leather seats. Maybe after 1K miles, get an intake, maybe even a header eventually. I think turboing an RSX is difficult because it doesn't have a return fuel line to the tank like Honda has done on so many cars for so many years before.

Its easy to make one and plumb it to the tank. That is no longer an issue. Plus Hondata has sweet stuff for the RSX now.

Great Car, Just so Ya Know.... That is my all time dream car!! I'm not really into newer cars, mostly just pro streets. But that is a hott car. I got a 70' corvette, but surely l'd rather have that.

I looked at those before I bought the Celica in January, the reason I didn't get it was the deal I got on the Celica. Very nice car though, I'm sure you'll love it. I had fun on the test ride. Good luck!!! Cool color too and you gotta love black leather. Congrats!

Another vote for stiffening that bitch up. Low and stiff, there's no better way.

soon enuf...I hit 300 miles today...only need 300 more before I can go have some fun in the car. I dont really know what mods I want to do to the thing...I'm still a little light (in the wallet) from the whole Si theft. That was a pretty expensive deal for me..dont know if I even want to bother for a while. I'm sure once spring rolls around I'll be into something for the car...guess we'll just have to see how the tuner market develops for this car...seems like its going to be very good! :)

thanks! I like it a lot...I dont know about all time dream status...but the Arctic Blue is pretty tasty. Weird having a totally new car again..guess we'll see what it can do next season.

he can probably better than that.
w/ more torque, more hp, & shorter gearing, he should easily hit a high 15 here.

stay away from the Cold air intakes they're a bitch and half to install on those cars. Not worth the gains if you ask me. Took me a good 2 hours to install the AEM CAI on a friends car.

the cold airs show a consistant gain of 19 hp tho.

i would hardly say fast, it is alow 16 second car high 15 at best. See they may have more torque and HP than the previous gen R or GSR had, but they also weigh more. I will say low to mid 16's from what i have seen out of other RSX's.

fast or not a very good car. Worthy of the Acura badge. Nothing a 100 shot of NOS cant fix anyway. Right Chris?

AEM has a new "kit" that includes a smaller fluid reservoir so you dont have to deal with most of that BS. Should make the project a lot more painless and less time consuming. Of course...I dont know anything other than what the AEM article said.

call chris I think he knows what AEM is up to. IMHO the Injen makes about 2 less hp and is safer int he rain. Minus the AEm install BS. Same price and better looking piece.

until you get a puddle of nitrous and it goes BOOM! :gapteeth: I remember talkin to chris about the difference in the intakes, i think the AEM gives a higher trap speed, but the Injen gave him a quicker 1/4 time, ask him though

JRSC on an RSX would be sweet! Not sure how many companys are gonna make turbo kits for it though, since installing them has got to be a bitch since everythings "backwards". I would be surprised if you didnt have to drop the engine to get a turbo in

if AEM has a new kit that doesn't require rewiring and relocating the washer stuff over to the passenger side. I'd be all over it. I can't really picture how they can make a smaller reservoir to fit in front of the wheel with the filter there. Oh yeah Vtec switch over is mean as fuk on the rsx with an intake!

There is an ad for it in the latest SCC.
So I took the time to wax the RSX yesterday and get her ready for winter...the wax changed the color of my car!!! weird shit!!
Made the pearl coat really stand out a lot more...whole car looks a lot darker...kinda neat. Guess its a good reason to keep that fuXor waxed up.

If it's a good wax, dark cars will do that. My car appears darker when it's got good wax on it as compared to when it doesn't. It's quite noticeable too, once you've seen the difference between the two.

Well I for one have to say that this is one solid car. The shifts are like butter, the power is smooth, handling is top notch. Not to mention the seats, gauges, basically the whole interior is high quality and gives you the real "driver car" feel. Who cares if a SRT-4, GTI, leaves it in the dust, HP dosen't sell cars IMHO. The RSX gives a good run without a turbo, with one WATCH OUT Dubs, Barbie Neons, Mazdaspeed protoge's, and so forth.

Yes...I actually let Alex drive my car last night. I drove to the car wash (to see if I could) and should be able to drive it myself quite soon.
Anyway it was cool to get someone elses impression of the car...I know I love driving the hell out of it.
