Well, when i bought my jetta(black) my father consistantly warned me that its going to drive me crazy keeping the car clean and scratch free because its black. He was damn right. I can't stand owning a black car in colorado. The thing that makes me more mad than anything else is the scratches and door dings that show up like a pink afro:fro: On another note, i want to start totally fresh and stock for my big turbo project. I'm waiting for the dealership to call me back about the trade in for either a 2001 or 2002 and what cash i might recieve in the trade in. I hope to score a 2001(aww) silver gti with around 15,000 miles on it in perfect condition. I would totaly like to get leather but clothe will do because i will defenitly through some recaro's or sparco's in it. I might consider either a white or silver jetta but i'm leaning towards the gti. Now, for anyone who has traded a car in for another one, is it a huge anoying hastle or is it fairly simple and straigt forward? If i can get a little money in the trade in, i would be able to do a stage III kit within a couple months. This is not final but its a big possibility.

wow, i had no idea you were even considering this. were gonna have 3 silver gti's on the board. good luck finding the right car.

3 silver gti's tearing it up at bandimere will be quite a site though
tyler should run mid to low 13's, I will hopefull be running mid to high 13's and brian......umm... who knows, it depends on how you can launch. :D you could be in the high 13's also

How many miles on your car now and how much would you sell it for? I'm not big on black either but I wouldn't mind taking a look at it.

where can you get a brand new jetta for 18k that runs a 14.0@98mph?;) My senses came to me and i'm gonna keep it. I thought that i wanted to trade it in because i have some scratches and a dend in my side skirt but that can all be fixed to look brand new for very little. I'm gonna get side skirts and a front valance and in the spring i'm gonna get a full body detail and have every door ding, nick, scratch, rock chip fixed and it will be brand new again:) I'm just gonna have to try and take better care of it so it never gets any scratches and such.

 That's funny, I never had any issues with my black paint...

Oh wait, I haven't washed it in a year or two, that's why I can't see any scratches.

LOL at tittyus with glee. Ty, I thought you sold all your gofast goodies in order to get more later like your stage III thing. I'm saying I could find a brand new one for 18K, I didn't say it was going to do 14s for 18K :)

ahh yes, hes has captured a pic of the elusive 337. its too bad they are slower than a regular 1.8t in the 1/4 mile:rolleyes:
