Today I noticed this place that is right across the street from my work in commerce city, has a yellow S2k. I called and the guy said it had 90k on it, and a salvage title. Im not too sure what the reason for the S title is but from what I could tell, the only thing the car really needed was a new top. It might be able to be reconditioned. I was a moron and didnt ask what year it was, but it had the seats with the holes in the headrest, so it had to be 03 or older. He said he wanted 10k for the car. I was just curious if this was worth persuing.

pre 03 models also had holes in the headrest portion of the seats. if it has a salvage title i would stay away from it. you can prob find one without a salvage title for just a little bit more.

Or at least find out what its salvaged from. But sinces its and S2000, most likley it would be an accident that caused it to have one. What Kwando said is what id advise as well, for an AP1, you could spend a little more money, and have a less mile, clean title car.
I might be getting a 350Z this week. Cheerio, mates.

I would never get a car with a S title IMO. I'd pay the extra cash to avoid it.

In some cases, the car is fixed fairly well and it may be worth the price, but no matter what, it always makes resale that much harder, especially on a car like this since they arent always the easiest car to move.

Yea, my Si is a salvage title just because of theft recovery, but still, ask anyone who has seen my car, it is clean as you can get with an S title.

Theft S title is quite a bit different than a rebuilt S title. Im sure the S2000 has a rebuilt because no one would steal enough off of an S2000 that it would have that type of title. Theft titles arent looked at the same way by most people either. Usually on Si's or Integra's when they get stripped, and put back together they then get a theft title. The S2000 your looking at was most likley in a major car accident, and rebuilt. You just have to be carefull on buying one like this. If your really interested in purchasing it, id recomend taking it to a GOOD body shop, and having them check it over to see how good of work was done when they restored it. Id also check to see if the frame is bent, as this does happen, which was the case with my EG i had that was a Salvage rebuild title.
I'm looking for a S2000 shell if anyone knows where I can get one. Can be salvage don't matter as its for personal use.
