Just got this all finished up after a year and a half. Been meaning to post a pic of it complete. Took about 22ish hours. Got it done at Skibo's in Cheyenne. Next is a half sleeve Koi fish on my left arm, hopefully soon.

Im about the only one of my friends that doesn't have a tatoo. Just haven't found a good enough reason I guess. I suppose when I have my first kid I will get his/her name tatood somewhere.

Werd, almost everyone I know has some sorta tattoo. I've always felt that my life is so dynamic and changing that I've never had something that was worthy of inking myself.

I agree with you, and there is nothing wrong with that, but it seems a lot of people get tats to remember a certain point in their life. Not just something to look cool or what not. If I ever got a tat it would have to be something that runs deep with meaning. I'm sure you feel the same. /random

Im getting "Mom" tattooed with a heart.
I choose to be different and not have any. I could never decide on anything I wanted on my body forever, so the decision was easy.

My most recently finished peice is my turbo/skulls on my left shoulder/upperarm. Its a half sleeve, pretty sweet. That cost me close to $1300 all together.
Everything I have is either car related, or family related. Ive yet to get a tattoo that I didnt like. Guess Im one of the lucky ones!
Ive got my last name "tag" style surrounded by flames on my right forearm, my mother and sisters' names on my wrists, a twisted up sparkplug on my right shoulder/upper arm, and the turbo/skulls on the other. I plan on getting full sleeves at least before Im done, its just a matter of money, and taking my time with my inking decisions, so that I remain satisfied with all of them.
Id recommend getting your childrens names (if applicable, of course :)), itd be like a tribute to them, and they're always going to be YOUR children, right?
Or, even in your case, your last name would be a good one...haha
As far as recommendations go, if youre located in the Springs, try Ink Pitt Tattoo. The owner Chris is an awesome guy, that prefers drawing freehand artwork so you wind up with a TRULY 1-off peice. Give em a call (719)-392-9388

Your tats sound unique. Should post a pic or two. Glad to hear you go to someone who freehands. Thats really the only way to go when you do a large piece. Ive considered getting something car related sometime. Ive thought about the Troy Lee Design sticker with the spark plugs, piston & rods as an X. Pic of it below. I'd probably have it changed somewhat so its not an exact copy.

Cool man, sounds good. Having freehand work does make it feel like you do have something unique. The only part of my back that i had a stencil used on was the dragon, everything else was freehanded on my back.
