Anyone know of any decent ones?
On a side note, did anyone else get in on the visa IPO this morning? I was able to lock in at 44.00 a share when the markets opened. It's already up to about 60 a share. Visa doesn't take on consumer debt themselves, they just process cards, so none of the current credit crunch stuff is going to have an effect on them. If the mastercard ipo a few months ago is any indication I would expect visa to quickly hit tripple digits here fairly quickly.

You really need to know their business well to go ahead with something like that. Visa has a lot of competition and with that, their business is not very diversified. Like you said, only process cards. Maybe they are hot now, but if you look at a 5 year level, someone like mastercard can come out with some new technology that will allow for them to overtake the marketshare.
Visa won't have anything else to fall back on, like loan sales.

Visa's market share isn't going anywhere anytime soon. The fact that they are not involved in consumer debt is a HUGE plus for them especially in this market. Who cares about them 5 years from now anyway? I already made more money off of them today then I would have with that same money in the bank for 5 years lol. The coming months look fantastic for their stock, and if mastercard is any indication they should climb very quickly making me 10 times my initial investment inside of a year. Visa is also far larger than mastercard with a far larger market share. Again, they aren't going anywhere anytime soon.

I was lucky and heard about it last night, so I checked on it first thing this morning. I got to it within a couple dollars of the opening price.
