View Full Version : My new car

Here it is, lets see if I can get it right this time. It's a 2002 Celica GT. I got the GT instead of the GTS because my goal is to custom turbo the car. I don't want it to be like any others I see out there. I strive to be different.

Lookin good. I'm not a big fan of the celica, but yours is more tasteful than even some stock looking celicas I've seen.

The ground effects are Erebuni. Actually, I waited until hot import night in AC to see what everyone had so I wouldn't have the same and I haven't seen the front bumper on another car yet. The problem is with the tight suspension, fiberglass clashes. I keep having to fix the front bumper because it cracks in the headlights. They think the hood may be putting too much pressure on it, so I'm going to put a carbon fiber hood on. I got the celica because I loved the shifting, it's smooth. I had an eclipse before, which handled better. But now the celica handles like a vet, nothing is stock though and I dropped it 3 inches.

This is a picture from a car show I modeled for. The del sol in the back is awesome. It is in the shop for NOS now. It's a sick car. You can all appreciate it. Tell me what you think.

No dents, thank god. A little scratch and my car's in the shop. I don't have any more pics right now, but I'm supposed to do a calendar for this company, we'll see. It's hard because I have a crazy schedule with work and I go to school at night. This is just a cool hobbie that I will always have. I hope to dedicate more time to shows, etc. next year when I'm done with school. If I come across any more pics, I will post them. The del sol just came out of the shop again, with all custom leather interior colored the same as the outside and the NOS between the two 12" subs in the back. It's hot.

Is she into the cars too? If not, she probably won't like it very much. Weddings are expensive, my sister got married October 12th. Everything went perfectly, she looked incredible. I was very happy for her, but as the maid of honor, it was a big headache up to the point when the reception was over. It was a lot of work, more for the women then the men. But, it was all worth it. However, her fiancee can't do things he use to or spend like he did w/o hearing an earful and 1/2. I think his most famous words now are "yes dear".
exciv2000
11-08-2002, 08:08 AM
LOL, yes my married friends always say 'yes dear' too. I hope I don't have to start  She's into my car, and she wants a Z28 camaro for hersef, but other then that she's not really into cars as much as I am. She understands my hobby so long as it doesn't conflict with us too much. I know weddings are a lot of work, and she's going to have to get crackin' on it soon, but I'll be there to help as much as possible.

Now I'm confused, are you all friends? Both my beauties? I only have one car, the del sol isn't mine. I do have a nice bike though, I could post that picture later, I have to take some, it's brand new (well July). It's cool when you find "a significant other" that has an interest in the same hobbies you have. (ex. car, bike). Guys seem intimidated that I am so into the cars and ride the bike I do. They don't really like it, but I don't care, that's me.

What I meant was that I got the GT because it was a little less for the car, and I wanted to use all after-market products. If I got the GTS, I would get the supercharger (kit) Blitz makes. THere is no turbo kit, at least not yet and they aren't even close to getting one. If I would supercharge the car, I would have gotten the GTS. It's easier.

I have had quite a few close calls myself, I have the Suzuki GSXR 750 and it flys. I raced a porsche and broke 137, by was too scared to look down after I saw that. I was focused on the road. I almost went into a blood slide when a deer was smashed by a tractor trailor in front of me, but somehow I missed the dear that covered almost the whole lane. Luck I guess.

Dude, that's the thing, 18 year olds don't have stamina, they aren't in their sexual prime. Okay, you may have energy, but you haven't seen stamina till you hit atleast 23 :)

I honestly think you can't gauge anything till you're past that point;go ask somebody who's over 40 for their opinion.
I'm almost in my mid 30s and I don't feel like i'm slowing down. Yeah,I don't pop off 4 or 5 in a session but I can go for a long time plus experience does pay off and the older you are the more experience you have.

I am going to turbo it when it hits 36k and the warranty is up. It's about 21k now, since January and I have a bike and a beater car. I drive a lot. I have to take care of the front bumper, it keep cracking in the headlight area. The fiberglass sucks, but looks good. I went to the bodyshop to talk to the guy Sat. and am either going to see if Erebuni can make it in another material or put on a carbon fiber hood to lighten the pressure on the bumper. I won't change the suspension, I like cornering at 50 mph no problem. :D I'm pissed at the guy who did all the mods with the system, I am really good friends with him and got the bodyshop through him, but the way he set it up definitely wasn't in my best interest and I realize that now. I shouldn't have trusted him so much. I'm blonde, not stupid. Anyway, I will fix the kit and put on the hood this spring and the navigation unit (I don't like the center console so I'm going to put a navigatio unit in there. It will look cool. I'm going to jet my bike and put a full exhaust on it and by winter 2003 I should start the turbo on the celica

I do have to say I have always dated older guys (various ages from 25-35) because of maturity level, etc. I dated like one or two guys close to my age and they just don't compare, but most of the time I think it's because with age comes experience. Anyway, young guys always think for some reason, the rougher the better. However, just because rough sex is good sometimes, maybe not all the time. It depends on the guy though. I've met some guys 22 with more maturity then some of my 30 year old friends.

I'll attach one picture, if anyone is interrested in seeing the competiton in Jersey, the address is www.DivisionOne.org, click on Photo Gallery, then choose June 15, 2002 Hot Import Night AC, my pictures are on page two but there is much better stuff to look at other then my picture. Interesting that your hood put so much pressure on the front bumper that it cracked. The latch and hinges should support the hood not the front end. I'm not following how the suspension would effect the body of the car either. I think you should double check who you are getting your car checked out by....
Talonstylz
11-12-2002, 10:47 PM
Extremely Stiff suspension should theoretically send a lot of vibration through the body, if the bumper is fiberglass and on real tight, the added weight of the foglights might put enough stress on it to crack it, i can see where shes comin from, but i cant think of anything to help reduce the vibration. Only thing i could think of would be to put some 1/4 inch thick rubber/foam around the bumper edges where it connects to the fenders and engine bay?

What I meant about the suspension is that because it is so stiff, it's very responsive, however, fiberglass (which is what the body kit is made of), can't take the pressure/flexing that the responsive suspension and high speed both cause. Polyeurothane kits (sp.) can take a beating, fiberglass cannot.

Thanks for the help explaining, I know what I'm trying to say, sometimes it just doesn't come out right. I may call Erebuni and see if they can make the bumper in polyurethane.

It has been raining since Sunday, of course, I washed my car Sat. That always happens. It was 70 and humid Monday, 50 yesterday, now like 48 today. It was in the low 40's for the last month, but since this storm it's gone up, but on it's way back down. That's why, when it was 60 and sunny Sat. I was on the bike all day. I won't winterize it, I'll get warmer gloves, jacket, etc. and layer up before I stay off the bike more than 2 weeks. It's hard now because I bartend at a club and I just started last SAt., I didn't get home until 5a.m. sunday, which blew my weekend.

I'm like that with everything... 100%.... I work in a law firm M-F 9-5, go to night school 1 1/2 hours from my work Tues & Thurs nights until 9 p.m. and then drive another hour home from there. 18 hour days Tues and Thurs. Supposed to get up SAt. morn for class again 9-12, but since there is only 5 weeks left, they can kiss my a**.... Just started bartending and hope he only has me on Sat. nights, if he puts me on Fridays too I think I'll die. I took a bartending class a few months ago, but never started because of my other class. Plus, it's hard to get into a club/bar w/o experience. This club I'm in now, Paradox, I know a lot of bouncers there, I got in the hot tub at the hot tub party for this job. Actually, the owner was there and he thanked me because no one would do it (it was in the middle of the dance floor). So, I asked him for a bartending job, and here I am. Hey, I saw the opportunity and seized it. I may be blonde, but I'm not stupid :D For right now I plan on getting a couple months experience behind the bar, then moving on. This way my resume has the school and experience.

Thank you, but why be jealous???? You sound cool and I wish I could meet you, maybe when I take a trip to CO... It's hard to come across women that are really into cars and not just pretending to try to attract guys. How old are you? You are in the scene already and know about cars, why don't you get involved in the modeling? I bet you could do it. It's fun, I just do it for the company that works on my car because I'm friends with the guy also. If I had the time, I would try to dedicate time to it and get more involved, but I can't. It's really just alot of fun. You should try it.

There is something else I wanted to say, no matter where you go or what you do, there will be guys who won't like "your look". For example, some guys go for dark featured girls, they don't find me attractive. Or really skinney girls, I'm into bodybuilding. Actually, both of those pictures were off season, I get really cut. Some guys don't like that. You can't worry about what everyone else thinks or else your self-esteem will go rock-bottom. Especially from bartending, I've seen and heard it all, believe me. I've just excepted myself as I am and try not to get too bummed. In the import scene, all the models are basically dark featured, asian, japanese, etc. We were literally the only two blonde models there, but this guy we were modeling for always trys to be different and it worked. Everyone was asking him to have us pose with their cars, etc. That is also why we wore all white, most people wear black. It's weird, but fun nonetheless. If you want to PM me about anything, please don't hesitate.

Edit: damn pictures. it's the pic from the original post in the thread.

Thanks, at first I thought you were talking about a different pic. :D I like it, but I actually thought it was a different wing, mis-communication. I like it though, I'm into that look ;)

I see, you saw the first page. 1 page back I think it is I posted another pic from Hot Import Night in AC from June. There is another girl, Cher, in it with me. I just found that one last night on a guys website that took our picture there. I wonder how many more I'm on I don't know about. This guy gave me a card when he asked my name, so I checked it last night and there I was.

lol!
you might quite well be an internet millionaire, just don't know it. weird, but this makes me wonder how many nude/porn sites use some pretty face off the net fotochopped on a nude body. when I took nude photos, it was a totally discrete setup. I even asked the lab to sign a form that they were not to release the negs/photos to anyone but me.
I hate to see some high powered tycoons wife's nude pix for his BD all over the net or the media.

who? me???
two hurdles:
1. there are no recent nude photos of myself (my parents hold some skinny a$$ shots of me as an infant)
2. even if I did have recent photos, if I posted them, you'd be sorry you asked :)
so I'd rather spare you the sorrow :D

I would post more pics if I had them, actually I hate having my picture taken and dont' do it unless I'm at an event or something like that. I have a new digital camera, so I'll try to take some soon. What other kinds of pictures do you want to see? The thong ones should be interresting, yes I signed up for that one and when I asked what kind of shots he wanted, it was kinda open ended. I'll have to see with that one. Maybe I'll take one on the bike :D Anyway, even if Genesis was hitting on me, I'm in New Jersey for gods sake, he's in Texas..... See, he can get away with that... Although, I really do think I may want to move to CO once I visit, but that wouldn't be till the end of 2003 probably. It would be nice to meet some of the HAI people I talk to all the time.

Take a thong pic on the bike...there ya go.
I love CO, I don't know why, but I just do. I've lived here for pretty much all my life, although I have lived in Alaska for a couple of months and Cali for a couple of months, it just doesn't compare. Alaska has kickass sceneries in the summer, and that was great, and CA is little too wild for me. I did nothing but party and go out when I was there haha. But CO, it's just right for me, I do like snow, but not as much as in AK, and I do like sun, but not as much as in CA. So I guess I get the best of both worlds here.

It sounds really nice, I've really never considered leaving Jersey just because I've been here since I was one (I was born in Fla.). Actually, I've never been on the West Coast. Since I've been involved with HAI and talking with people I know around here, I want to go see for myself more and more. I've wanted to move for a while, but wasn't sure where, looking all over Jersey. Nothing really struck me as "really wanting to be there" though. Plus, there is nothing here for me that I would want to stay except my family. However, I am old enough that I can deal and come visit. I really want a new start somewhere that I don't know anyone and new surroundings. I've never really traveled. Plus, everything has been work and school for me over the past few years, I want to live a little now. Well, soon, school isn't over yet. I am definitely taking a trip to CO, I just have to coordinate it and figure out when is the best time, it will be in the first couple of months of 2003, probably Jan. or Feb.

Haha...screw the neighbors. Why not kill 2 birds with one stone? Thong pic on the car, walk a few feet, hop on the bike and there ya go again. I don't really know if anythings so great around January of February, not much happens. Well, just know that whenever you do decide to come here, you've got plenty of people that would be nice enough to be a tour guide for you, me being one of those nice people.
