The supra spent a few days on a car carrier, and arrived at the new owners house yesterday. He called me a few times lastnight asking "what's this, what's that, how do I do this", etc.

He wanted something which would beat his beefed up porsche 933. His new supra is currently running 18psi on pump gas. His initial reaction was "1st and 2nd don't really go anywhere", but then realized that he was just burning the tires off. Once he got into 3rd he felt the power, and suggested that his new toy, even at only 18psi on pump gas, would crush the 933 on the freeway.

My suggestion to him was to put 10 gallons of 104 into the car today, turn up the boost to 25psi, and get it out on the freeway again. Once he's done that, I asked that he call me back and let me know his impressions... :) :)

He's pretty much orgasmic about the car, and was very complimentary on the buildup work which was doner, as well as the way I had represented it while selling it. He called me "anal retentive" on details, which was sorta cool as I've never been one who was into much detail.

I'm SOO glad that an adult bought it, and a carguy at that. Someone who can truely appreciate the car for what it is vs someone who would just turn the boost up on pump gas, burn a hole in a piston by doing so, and then wrap it around a tree while showing off...

I'm gonna miss it, but at least it's in good hands.

And the A4 sure is smooth. And slow. Etc. :)

The A4 is stock, and will probably remain stock for some time, due to the commitment I made to my wife w/regard to $$, where it goes, how it's spent, etc...

He's at 800 ft above sea level, so I'm thinking that once he learns how to drive the car it'll put down a 10 second time... :)

Selling a car like that is like having to give away a family pet. I'm happy for you John that it went to a good home. :)

Has he called you back yet...I know he made 0-150 mph, but did he make the 150-0 safely?

I wish you still had it! That was a cool car, I sure would of liked to go out on the HWY in that bad boy with you!!!!!! I'm a little sad now, I didn't even know you sold it till now. I really don't know what to say, I've sold cool cars before, but only to start on another.:(
