Anybody or any shop do this locally? I would like to get my turbine, manifold, and downpipe coated but not sure if I want to try the DIY approach and screw it up. I thought I remember there being somebody or place that did it when I looked into it for my last car but I can't remember....

Martian does them. Here is the link to his part of the forum. Ask him.

If you were looking for something else.....then I was just kidding;)

If he does, that would be cool, as I am going to drop off my valve cover to him tomorrow :D
I need coating for high temp stuff, like 2000F temps. I know there are places that do it out there, I just don't want to pack up all my crap and ship it back and forth. Rather give the business to some place local.
Thx.

The DIY is uber easy and I have plenty of materials left over from when I did it.. It'd be pretty hard to screw up.
I'll be doing my Downpipe and Wastegate in a few weeks, If its worth my while I could probably do a couple other pieces at the same time.

Hmm, maybe I'll take a stab at it then.

Yikes that TurboX is kinda expensive :o Dreadlocks, if we can work something out I'll pass you some cash for your mats if you can get my parts done. Let me know!

Id charge ya more than the TurboX cost to do it all, I will however hook ya up with some of my left overs.. it does not take much
I used an airbrush like this:

and it took less than 2 hoppers to do my turbo hotside, dump tube and turbo manifold.. its a very thin coat and I dont think I'll ever use all 5oz of this that I bought.

Alrighty cool, I'll see if I can find an airbrush. I think Martian can media blast the parts down at TC's, I'll look into getting that done there. Thanks!

Instructions say 250 grit aluminum oxide or equivalent.. NO GLASS BEADING.. you want a nice rough porous surface to spray.
