people put the usdm type-R lip & winng on gsr's all the time.
but if they put a type-r sticker on i'd call it rice


& that front end comes with all 97+ JDM integras. the type-r's get the black housing headlights, hid's, & a an extra lip

I HATE the US-spec ITR front end, i think it is utterly REPULSIVE! On that note, i LOVE the JDM front end, i think it makes that car look SOOO much better! It is def not rice to put a JDM type R front end on your car, so long as you don't claim that it is a type R...it is just an upgrade to better stuff.

REMEMBER: JDM headlights are ECE42 RHD and should be converted to LHD so as not to offend oncomming traffic, especially if you are going to run overwatt bulbs. Find out if they have been converted or on how to do it. ALL ECE ligting is better than the crappy DOT approved equilavelent and more is to be gained by using overwatts in ECE code lenses than DOT. They have nice cut-offs and splash up for signs (the prob with RHD lights...they splash up into oncomming traffic's eyes). Just a thought...please for the rest of us, convert to LHD lights when you do the conversion, run overwatts and both you and your fellow drivers will be happy!

I have a friend in Boulder with a JDM type R front end conversion. It's a good deal for the what you get. The hood, fenders, bumper and headlights for 1800. All together it's the same price for what you would buy any body kit with z3 fenders and crap. And it looks SOOOOOOO GOOD!!!!!!! It's doable, just save your pennies!!

yep, its a direct bolt on swap...im trying to find a 98 one myself. i already did the 98+ front end, but in hindsight, i could've gotten teh jdm front end i think

Oh yeah, JDM ITR frontends are badass. If I ever get rich I will definately invest in one. Untill then, $$ goes for speed:)

If anyone plans on getting one, GO OEM!!! Spend the 3K and get all OEM parts. We all know nothings fits and looks as nice as OEM Honda parts.

I'll be putting a JDM front end on my car. Hopefully next year sometime. I've got my exterior all layed out in my head, gonna look bitchin' :p But for now I'm concentrating on making the car fast :)

Make the car fast first and then go with your *bling* items. IMO JDM anything is overated and you should ask yourself "is it worth the $$$?" .

Do you think in Japan they convert to USDM front ends on Intagras? :D

& i was always wondering about shipping a usdm integra to japan & see if it would sell the way JDM tegs sell here. or just the front end & doing the conversion...
