Nice price. I would love to get a starter then give it to the wife and get that AR-10t that I have been eyeballing. Plus the kid will need a plinker in 5-6 years so....
I'd like a rifle like that one day as well. I'd actually like one that shoots that new 6 something round. The one that they are trying to get to replace the 5.56 NATO round.

The election has definitely made gats jump to the top of my priority list.

That's a good enough deal I'm considering it.
I'll shoot yours this weekend if that's ok Kwando, and decide from there.
Yours is .223 right? I need to go buy some ammo for it.

anyone can shoot it as long as you have ammo. I only have a limited supply left and 223 ammo has sky rocketed!

It's the 6.8mm. I believe some countries, including China are already using this round.

yah its sad that ammo is almost as much as the damn gun itself un less you shooting that wolf crap through your AR i remember not to long ago you could get 556 was a 120 for a thousand and 762 was 75 for a thousand thank got for reloading i am reloading 556 for 12 cents a shot i love buying in bulk...
What is a good brand if my cousin and I wanted to buy a lower or two before the election?
The lower is the important part right?

the lowers is what has the serial number...
But if I just go and buy a lower now, I can still buy all the other parts to build whatever I want later. When they ban guns, isn't it the lower portion that has all the restrictions? Pistol grips, thumb holes, etc?

The lowers are all pretty much identical from what I've seen. Find one you like the logo for? I (http://www.ranierarms.com) know someone who has purchased quite a bit through this site, seems to be reasonable for prices and shipping isn't bad. http://www.rainierarms.com/
I always thought Bushmaster was a good brand, but one of my cop buddies was saying it wasn't the other night. He said the same thing about my gun, and every single gun I mentioned that I wanted to buy as well though. I think he's just a Glock elitist.

Bushamster is a military contractor. Your cop buddy is an idiot.
Yeah, he for sure is an elitist.

So the only downside to these AR's are the cosmetics?
That's what I can gather.

Edit: Is building one of these still an option? Anyone have a link for info on building an AR?
Sure, if you want to pay $250 for a lower.

Wow.....I looked around, and dont think I will be buying one for the price. For the original 600 bux, I would have, but not at 800+.
The Yugo SKS 59/66a1 has caught my interest actually, and they are pretty cheap.
