View Full Version : anyone do fiberglass shaving?

looking into getting my moldings shaved here in CO and wondering if anyone uses fiberglass to shaved them.

was looking at stitch welding but it was costing over a grand and ive been quoted 400-600 for the fiberglass but its a few shops i know in san diego..anyone around here do that kind of thing?

If you take out the actual handles, i can call a guy i know at NT show design and see if he'll do that and get back to ya. Let me know if u want me to call.

i tried that once, but i kept cutting myself...& it didnt leave my chin as smooth as usual

So you wanted the handles and the moldings on the sides shaved?? I just want to doublecheck that way when i call him i can ask him how much everything will cost.

I got my ITR emblems jacked last year and had them shaved at Manke auto body. They did the hood and trunk, shaved rear keyhole and stickers and smothed over "integra" lettering on front and rear bumpers for $750. here is what it looks like "shaved"

I like your R shaved, looks a lot cleaner, but the red A on the back middle top would still look good with everything else shaved.

Its my wifes car. She works in rice car central so they got stolen. I was not willing to paint the hood and trunk every year so off they came for good.

yea sorry man. Both of the numbers that i have, have been disconnected, so i will take a trip down there tomorrow and talk to him in person.
