ok so i just put on a header and 2.5" test pipe, then 3" straight pipe to a 3" Volt turbo muffler. yet my exhaust is high pitched and raspy and I absolutly hate it. So my question is what do I do? How can i get a deeper sound thats not raspy?

You can add a resonator(or a couple), but it'd prob still be pretty raspy. Especially with as free-flowing I imagine that is. Resonators, if they're the right size will quiet it down quite a bit.

Swap out the test pipe with a resonator

if you ditched your CAT then thatd be it, test pipes won't make anything quieter

Yea, testpipes will make it louder. Removing the cat, took out a big chunk of the noise suppression. The engine can breathe better, and theres no cat to pre-muffle the exhaust note before it hits your actual muffler. Honestly a resonator or two (if you really dont want a cat; and when I say resonator, a simple small glasspack) will make worlds of difference. They act like pre-mufflers, and will give it less of a duckfart sound.

agreed, get a resignator and if you want it way quiter, flip it around so the fins inside are going against the flow.
