Interested in making a RHD integra. Any suggestions on where to get parts or the whole clip? What are the steps involved.
Thanks, any websites or information is appreciated.

www.hmotorsonine.com has them, or www.passwordJDM.com. also www.honda-tech.com has more than enough information to accomplish this project. good luck.

you've HEARD correctly. you dont need to re register a car you already have but if you lose the VIN in the process heres what you do.
goto DMV tell them you lost your vin to your car that you own and that you put two cars together that you own both. to prove you own both you need *A*L*L* recipts proving you own it, take A L O T of pictures showing periodic work from the front clip to the complete car.
they will re issue a vin after an inspection-its a longer process than what i said but you will have it registered as long as what you are doing is legal. or just move to a county that doesnt even see your car when you register it and use your old vin and registration :P
you will need a front clip to make things easy, if you think about it the steering wheel dosnt go through the passenger side firewall... things are situated differently in RHD vs LHD, your harness might be longer/shorter you need mounting points for pedals etc etc (not sure about hondas so much more about toyotas)

oh by all recipts i mean recipts from front clip and whatever you have to prove you own your own car i suggest taking pics of it with soe type of damage to the egine or engine out and damage to interior that prompts you to actually change it out

i have no experance doing this, but I think the first step would be to call the state patrol and tell them what your doing. Im sure they would be more then happy to tell you what they would want to see as far as vins go. As far as the dmv is concerned, You have a colorado title....they wont even see your car. The police are the ones who will tell you your doing something wrong :)

wrong. police dont make the laws they just enforce them and if he does this legally there isnt an issue. havent you seen any custom hot rods? they more than likely went through the same thing as restoration projects which is what he will try to argue he is doing, worse ase scenario you need to contact an importing company who are usually only near ports.
goto where you register your car you dont need to bring anything with you. tell them what you are doing and what forms you need (i think i asked for the hotrod and or car you build yourself forms they serve the same functions) if they dont know what you are talking about then ask for a manager of some sort or someone whose been there longer.
from what i remember you need proof you own everything, that is you own the car and the RHD clip and somewhere along the line it asks for possible pictures of the process. you will get inspected to make sure it passes safety etc etc. as for hondas im not sure how emissions are on the cars - if i were to convert mine i would use the USDM engine since it has the EGR still.
this is just one loophole i know of in the system there might be other ways i just havent explored them.
lol. Just fucking rivet your old vin plate to the new dash. Done and done.

shhhhh dont tell them that or else everyone will do it...:C
