The company I work for needs a couple people. I've seen a couple guys here say they need jobs, so here is my attempt to help.

Need to be relatively mechanically inclined, reliable, and able to work full time. Job is in an office downtown, so you're not going to be getting dirty working on cars, but you will use your knowledge.

SAE certified & bilingual a plus. Ability to use a computer is needed, but I don't think I'll run into this problem here.

Pay starts at $32k, paid parking downtown, 4 weeks vacation, and full benefits. Plus you get to work with two other people from HAI.

PM me and I'll give you info on where to send your resume.

Sounds like the perfect job for me with my background in the auto industry, but it would be too much of a pay cut :/

All PM's responded too. Please make sure that if you speak fluent spanish you tell me up front, it will get you priority on an interview since we have to have at least one spanish speaker, and so far none have applied.

Safe to assume this is full-time only?

What kind of claims volume would you expect to average a week Chris?

We aren't operating the same way as your standard insurance company, so claims are not "owned" by any one person. So our #'s are not really comparable to a standard adjuster's. We are somewhere between a call center and a standard adjuster, which is why base pay is a little less than a standard insurance company adjuster would start at.

Figure anywhere from 25-55 calls per day per person. Number of claims started and finished in one week by your average adjuster literally varies from week to week. I've seen people do as little as 4(I'm the auditor, and I need 5 claims per week to audit someone, so only seeing 4 from someone is FRUSTRATING), and I've seen 50 from that same person a couple weeks later. It's really random, and based on how prepared the people are who file claims with us. Most people who call to file claims are not prepared at all and will have to call back more than once.

The majority of our claims are in the $700-$1500 range. I think our low is in the 2 to 3 cent range, and our high is closer to $40,000 for some guy who blew up the engine in his Porsche GT2. So the amount of time needed for a claim can vary from 2 minutes to a couple hours, which is one reason why our #'s are skewed.

Hey thanks Chris, had my interview today!

Glad to hear it; Hope it went well! I have no part in the hiring process so I don't know anything until they tell me who is hired.

Of course I have to root for my fellow HAI'ers, as the workplace needs to remain interesting.

the earliest you would be able to get off is @ 3, that is of course if you get the schedule that starts at 6:30, which i believe they are looking for people in that position. They are not flexible as this is one of the questions i asked when i was being recruited by the evil dark lord of the audit also know as "fred"(i love you barnett). All in all it is a really good job, great work atmosphere, great benefits and it can turn into a career if you are so inclined. I hope that people on here do apply, it would make for a great work atmosphere if more hai people worked there. Good luck all!
