How many DVD's do you have in your collection and is it worth it to switch them over to Blue Ray?

Maybe 10 at most, so yes. I don't keep DVD collections. It's cheaper, and far more economical for me to rent DVD's when I want to watch them.

I have a 750GB external hard drive that hooks up to my xbox 360. It has several hundred movies on it at any given time.

Well I am a member of the Blockbuster online thing so I get movies all the time but I was/am kinda addicted to my collecting them since they came out. Now the bastards came out with this BluRay and I wonder if it would be worth it to switch over. I have yet to watch a BluRay movie and I still have about 1000+ VHS that I have not changed to DVD as well.

I dont bother collecting anymore.... Only buy my favorites now... I never ended up watching them more than once or twice.

I think I have about 150 or so. I like collecting them but I also love movies. So I like to have a big variety to chose from when I want to watch one.

Ive probably got a couple hundred. Would probably not consider changing them over to Blue Ray since i dont have a player yet, and im just not into home theater stuff really.

I donno how worth it would be if you have that many. I just got a up converting DVD player. Granted its not super crisp and clear like blu-ray would be but i am not the type to re buy something I already have.

I have heard of basicly hard drives that you can rip movies to and have them to watch whenever. Maybe this would be a better route.

I would wait on blu ray- if history repeats itself, it will be another failing format by sony. and beside the porn industry stands behind HDDVD.

Not really. You should check your sources on that :p Most of them are just waiting for the "war" to be over. They have WAY too much money in production equipment as it is.

A few of the BIG production houses have released a few videos in HD already. The problem is that there are some things that you just really "dont want to see" that show up in HD. The girls already freak out about how they look on camera already, and with many of them they use gel filters and stuff to make the focus softer as it is. It will be quite a while before HD really hits porn.

Island Fever 2 with tera patrick has an HD WMV version on the disc, fucking a HD porn is pretty goddamn cool.

I have around a thousand DVD's I switched my collection over from VHS but with blu-ray bieng $30 a pop I think I am going to hold off. I use to able to get new release DVD's for $5 each when I was working at the game store so thats why I collected. But at $30 a pop I will hold off and just rent them through BB online.

we have a few hundred, and we're not planning on switching over anytime soon. We have way too much money invested in regular dvd's to switch over right now.
We've got between 5 and 6 hundred, and in no effin way would I switch them over to another format.
I will end up with a high def player, but no idea which one. And as long as it plays my standard def media I'll be happy.
omg Rob, that's just nuts. lol. I think I have about 15 or so. Nothing spectacular.
