So I just got an XT and want to get a new lens. I want to get a wide angle lens for landscape and buildings, any recommendations?
I also need some tips for shooting snow + subject. Is there any techniques you guys have?
Also how do you shoot multiple shots quickly? Like those shots where a rider is shown at every step when going off a jump? I know the final product is edited but how do I get the images first?
Sorry for all the questions, thanks.

1. Whats your budget for a new lens?
2. Depending on conditions, most snow shots I have found you need a circular polarizer to get good shots, especially here in CO. If its still cloud covered, use spot metering
3. you need to set the image "taking" process to either single shot, multiple shot, or timer. You want multiple, and you just press down and hold the shutter and it will take the pics till the buffer kicks in or after 15-20 shots. You need a tripod to try to get the shot you are thinking of, so all the images are shot on one shot then photoshop all the layers into one

I have the 10-22 ef-s lens that I enjoy but it might be a little too wide angle

10-22 is a bad "walk around" lens. If you are wanting something wide and a decent range, 17-40 is a great lens

I don't really have a budget, just looking at products and prices so I can save up for a lens. But I'm not needing anything that is super expensive.
I tried shooting the snow today but everything came out very white and bright. I messed with the white blance but it didn't do much.

Press and hold down the * button, and then use the wheel next to your shutter button to bring down the exposure setting down a lil, it will darken up the shot. Read through your owners manual a few times and you will get a hang of it

This series is from Digital Camera Magazine. The principles taught are pretty basic and "dumbed-down" but a pretty good read none-the-less. Each one covers a different subject, pretty self explanatory.

Here's a great book that basically covers the whole spectrum of exposure techniques. Lots of cool creative exposure ideas. None of the info here is especially groundbreaking, but it does a great job of explaining how exposure works.

This is a pretty good read. Instead of a how-to it's more of a tip book. Lots of good tips on shooting weddings, landscapes, sports, portraits as well as general photography tips.

Here's an ebook about DSLRs in general. Lots of really basic information about DSLRs to read about if you're a noob, but it also goes into a lot of technical detail about the nuances of DSLRs and a lot of specific information that probably doesn't really matter. Still an interesting read, though.
Mastering Digital SLR Photography - D. Busch (http://arcticfurrer.com/otap/dcam_manuals/Mastering%20Digital%20SLR%20Photography%20-%20D.%20Busch%20%282005%29.pdf)-----------------------------------------------------
Here's a Nikon D70 specific book. Lots of good, detailed information. I have some other camera-specific books if there are any requests. None for now though because the others (350D and D200 namely) are 40+mb.
