I'm in the midst of purchasing one. I wanted some input...if anyone else has this laptop or something similar to it. I have a Gen 4 xps desktop and love it. I'm planning on giving it back to my brother if I get this laptop. So my question is...is it worth it? I'll be spending around 2500 for it after taxes and stuff. I'll just be using it for school and daily things. Any input would be helpful. Thanks.

A few days late but you could do way better with that much money IMO.

For that much I would expect a Go 7950GTX and not a 8700M GT. It's still a great card, don't get me wrong.

...hell for all I know you don't game. *shrugs*

If you're not going to be using it for gaming an XPS is going to be more computer than you need, and a waste of money. For email and other office functions you really don't need all that much of a computer

I would never spend $2,500 on a laptop that wasn't an Apple.

Yeah, I back'd out of it. Had second thoughts and realized that just maybe I might regret it later. So I decided to keep shopping around. I mean I dont game often. But its nice once in awhile to play some cs to let some anger out. But i might go with a apple mainly cuz I think its alot easier to use. Or should i say fits more of what im looking for. But 13inch for 1400? FTL! Thats why im gonna look into apple alittle more since their expensive. More expensive then a whore on 5th ave.

Personal opinion. I don't like them one bit, unless you are doing video editing. Also, why is twistedimage on a little power trip trying to warn me for using inappropriate language. I think he is a horrible mod. I mean he don't even know how to use the shift key on his computer. All he does in every post is state the obvious.

As much as I am frowned upon by my peers I also don't really like Mac OS X. It's a great OS (it's fucking unix (basically) based!), I just don't like it being the gamer I am.

I also hate their "I'm a mac, I'm better than PC" commercials. That's just a side point though.
