Anyone heard from Kevin Otero?

Hey guys,

My name is Ryan Smith and I am from Honda-Tech. Kevin (Kevino002) has been giving me the run around for some time now. Oct. 4 or 5 he got a money order from me for 300 dollars. He was to ship a GSR block, main and crank to Golden Eagle for me to get sleeved. I'm on quite a schedule with getting things done, and he knew that.

A few weeks go by and nothing shows up to Rob at GE. After a few more weeks I get an email about how his roomate didn't have enough money to ship the block and Kevin was on vacation for 2 weeks. So he would get it out to me ASAP. Well it's been at least 4 weeks since then, and I have no 300 dollars back in my pocket to buy another block, and the block isn't to GE. I gave him the option a few times now to just send the money back. I haven't heard from him since he said he told some shop to ship it out...nice. Like a shop is worried about shipping a block that does nothing for them.

Anyways Kevin, I need my money back. Or the block to GE, with a tracking number to prove it instead of giving me the run around. If any of you guys have contact with him, and can relay this message to him that would be awesome. I see he hasn't posted on here since the 7th, perhaps another vacation lol

I know I hold no credibility with any of you unless you know me from Honda-Tech but I know some people on here, if you need any vouches to believe what I'm saying I can get them.

Thats why I don't deal with with anybody online unless it's on Ebay or on Craigslist where I can meet them in person. I would never send a cashiers check to somebody I didn't know though. Anyways hope everything turns out good for you, good luck.

I would never send a check or anything to someone on a normal basis, but Jeremy has tuned for me, and tunes for him. So I had a good feel for him based on that. Oops lol

I do TONS of business with my race program online, and never have gotten screwed before but there is a first time for everything!

I got an email from Kevin today, the shop most likely hasn't shipped it.

He is going to check and get back to me, It never sounded like he was out to screw me so please don't think this if you are thinking of doing business with him. With the holidays I can see it being a busy time which is why I haven't heard back from him.

I'll update with more info when it comes about.

And hell no, 3000gt's suck haha I did have a Talon TSI though. That thing was a nice winter beater, but only had it for 4 months since it was a POS!

now you are backing off. you sounded like you were saying he was screwing you in the first place.

I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt sir. I do not know his situation, when I didn't hear from him for weeks at a time sure I got pissed lol

I've heard from him, and will see what happens. I don't think it's your place to call me out when I'm just trying to get to the bottom of things and either get my money back, or my block where it needs to go.

A block will be at golden eagle tomorrow morning, a fellow racer is coming through and dropping one of his off for me. So as long as I work things out with Kevin things will be okay.

Being as I was told the shop Kevin gave the block too didn't ship it out yet, I'm not going to throw him 100% under the bus and make him seem like a terrible human being. I do not know him well enough to judge that.

i don't see that as accusing him of screwing with him. the guy just wants proof, or money back. simple as that.

after reading the original post, he is not accusing him of anything.all he his saying is that he has been getting the run around since OCTOBER.

therefore, since its a 2+month runaround, i see it perfectly find to demand proof that its been shipped, or money back.

I am not going to get into detail as to what happend with the block, I trusted a freind to get it shipped out while I was in VA for almost 2 1/2 months but the freind decided it would be a good Idea to steal from me and tell me the block was lost in the shipping process. I am refunding him his money and I will also be sending out the block to him free of charge.

Did you receive the block? I'm just a bit confused. He said he was lied to and told the block got lost in the mail, but did he find the block and agree to send it to you? Just curious.

If I don't get a block, I won't be too sad, but if I don't get the money soon I won't be too happy.
