plastic is great but not for tards who spray a cobalt....1DUMKID said it all. funny though.

a lot of companys use plastic I/M's now.
some dude broke his plastic intake mani with 11psi of boost with an alpine kit when i was working for them, it was pretty funny.

There have been articles about plastic compounds that are stronger than metal for years now. Get into the now gentlemen.

Plastic is good for keeping intake air temps down for longer, but not so good for containing explosions.

NICE. Take that! That 30k into your cobalt SS could go very fast in other places and explode less due to cheapness on stupid parts (unless it's a DSM)
I like the plastic IM's, can't think of what else has them, but it's a super idea.

Plastic for parts like IM's is quite common these days. Thermo plastics and carbon fiber are stronger and lighter than alloy based materials.
My legacygt has a plastic intake manifold. I bought a cast STI manifold for it, but never installed it. Someone buy it from me. :)
