Its chi blasts. He watched some dragon z and naruto, then got the idea to turn fantasy into a reality. With his focused chi, he could beat anybody, even hitting them with "blasts of chi", or focused energy. Of course, in real life, percieved magic powers are worthless. I like how surprised he looked after he got blasted to the face the first time. "My chi shield...how was it penetrated?"
