Cool, is that pretty much the only advantage of "tele-skis", back country mobility?

well. in a nutshell yes, although it really doesn't have any dis advantages over regular alpine skiing. except for the fact your a practically doing lunges down the mountain all day.

i tried it once last season and i was hooked, had to buy gear and shit this winter!
kinda bummed cus i got a new deck (unity origin) and boots (vans danny kass) last season. its a sick setup but, i got the fever.

I've gotta fly from DC to Denver today, leaving DC at 5:30p. It's gonna be a zoo, and I hope that my flight isn't delayed/cancelled due to weather.

Its a pretty weak snow storm so far, only 1 or 2 inches in my neck of the hood. Unless it really picks up in the next few hours I'm sure you will have minimal to no delay.

And so begins the season of dumbshit drivers in CO. My nieghbor woke me up at 5:30 this morning stuck in the street. What a douche.

She will be in line today waiting 4 hours for a set of studded, siped snow tires only for it to be nice again in a few days.

^^LOL
this is the first time I have owned a FWD since I have lived here in CO. My little REX just went on through like it was another day in the neighborhood! COmpared to last year when my damn 240 got stuck for half a week down the street.

SOme people drive like it aint even snowing out though....makes me want to slap them.

I'm glad to see that I wasn't the only one doing lines in the driveway this morning.

Good luck with your endeavors in flight today, John! *fingers crossed*

In other news, all hail the AWD gods!!

I think if you drive safe and smart, you wont have any problems. That's what ive been doing during the winter days but I see some retards driving 80 past me then somehow crash. serves them right.

I was hoping for enough snow to test out the Rover...:(

I love the fact that people get stuck in the street in front of their house in a few inches of snow.

I almost caused an accident this morning. I was late for work and not really paying attention. All the roads were just wet, except for the merge lane from Dartmouth onto Kipling. I was going to fast to turn, and instead slid partially into the right lane of s/b traffic on Kipling. There were two cars coming, neck and neck, so the Honda CR-V in the right lane
couldn't really swerve anywhere. I was able to pull it back in enough to avoid an accident, but I'm still sure that the CR-V driver had a mild heart attack. I felt like a dipshit after that. Then of course the roads were just fine the rest of the way.
