It seems that many people have stopped using the website. Your thoughts on this?
For someone who just joined no longer than 19 days ago, you sure seem to know a lot about who has posted here over the years.

I know people who have used this website for years, but I didn't join up until now.

For that retarded remark you should be banned.
So name all the people you know who don't post any more, and chances are, I'll be able to name two who have taken their place. People move on, doesn't mean the site is any worse. Sad all your friends left? Go find them.
HAI went to shit on November 15, 2007... oh, wait.. that's when you registered.
jk. ;)

^ :rofl: ;OwnEd;
If anything I've seen more new people vs "gone to shit" and nobody using the website.
I vote this guy idiot of the month.
Well, you can't really vote for him for idiot of last month, since he wasn't even here.

I second the banning of it.
I mean, no offense to this Jay-Dee-Em fellow, I'm sure he wasn't aware of all the other people on here with it in their name. Or maybe he was but yeah, it gets a bit confusing having all of them running around. :smoker:
*chuckle*
Hang around for a couple months.

There is entirely to much jdm on this forum.

Yes, this site has gone to shit, and it's not just the number of active users. There used to be a very different atmosphere and attitude on this site, but most of the current users haven't been here long enough to know anything about that.

It's time to lower the JDM count. BANNING TIME!

I am sad to say I have Spoon92 as a username. I used that back in 2002. I need to get it changed to Aarron_M like all the other forums I post on. I feel like I would get grouped in with these asshats. :)

Atmosphere is the same, its just that some people worked too much on breaking friendly relations that were based on everyones enjoyment of cars. I still like HAI.

No, there once was a time when we took pride in not being like COSR, which at that time was nothing but a bunch of cocky street ricing posers. People here had a variety of nice cars, rather than 90% of the members having riced out Civics built for street racing, we spent a ton of time at Bandimere or Second Creek, we had large meets/cruises/parties where people actually didn't try to showoff like a dumbass ricer and get the cops called in the process, we didn't have a bunch of e-thugs trying to start drama everyday, and we didn't tolerate thieves, insurance defrauders, or other crooked fucks. Sure, we still had some "young and dumb" moments back in the day, like the time you wrecked your glorious Kia into a tree while trying to street rice in the rain  , or the incredibly hillarious David-vs-racoon incident, but for the most part the attitude here was much more adult. Nowadays COSR has grown up and we've turned into what they used to be.

I dont think it has gone to shit, it has evolved into something different for sure. It used to be much more tight knit group of guys and gals who shared common interests. Now it is much broader and diverse. Many different groups with many different interests but not so different that it becomes too large to really communicate (*cough* honda-tech). Opinions, change, people grow up, get busy, get bored or whatever and stop posting or whatever.

I think hai is one my of my favorite forums to go too. Most other ones have ricers in them. This one at least has guys that appreciate their car unlike the other idiots that dont.

I wouldn't say so. In light of the JDM craze even using Spoon in your name is pretty original. Don't let it get out that Spoon is a mad tyte JDM company though, then you'd be screwed.
Speaking of, i saw an elantra today with a spoon sports crane on the drivers side fender. I couldn't get a picture though. :(

Thats what I mean Weston, take it easy. The forum has just grown. For the record, my Kia was glorious. Unlike cocky non-street rice posers like you, I also like to test the safety of my cars :)

LoL I agree, I don't understand. It's a style some people like, I joke about it but it's just a cool style for a Honda. The only time I can say it gets dumb is when people use it for shit thats not JDM at all.... When people use it just to sale something.
Like I said before and I will say it again, I only use it when I am spittin some game at da ho's, fo shizle my nizle, I be like " you want some of this big jdm-ness babay!" and they cant get enough of it.
Reasons
Number 1: I am a ethug, so I am cool, I can talk shit over the computer what you got on that my nigga?
OK whatever this post has gone to shit, so im going to stop here... lol

I still like HAI. I didn't post much back in the day but I've gotten to know a lot of people on here. It's definitely a lot different now then it used to be but that's just like life. Things change. However, I do miss the arcade. :(

I don't know how things were 'back in the day', but I like this forum from the little that I've seen about it. You guys seem to know each other and joke with each other and stuff. That's the sign of a tight community. I would say that the welcoming committee is a bit harsh ;) , but it's a good way to weed out most of the riff-raff. Although a couple of 'JDM's have slipped in, I see. :-P
I do find it odd that you guys don't really have meets or anything. Or at least you don't mention them. I guess they're just 'assumed' meets where if you know about it, you know about it...and if you're new, you don't. *shrugs shoulders*
Otherwise, thumbs up!

We used to have meets. But Weston pretty much summed it up. I miss the HAI BW3 meets. A few cheapasses had to go and ruin it.
Here's a cool fact: The awdpirates' Wednesday BW3 meet was started by HAI.
Chicks aren't invited to meets unless they are found on the Casual Encounters section of CL

HAI used to do a lot more social type meets with cars on the side. We used to have weekly meets down at Kona Grill in cherry creek. That was always a good time. But we had to watch who we invited cuz like hung said, there are some cheap asses that always seemed to skip out on their part of the bill.
I can do that for you. PM me if you want it done.

Most of the personal GTGs go away in the summer because we are so spread out and have our own things going. I liked the Kona meets but cant handle drinking to the wee hours in the morning then getting up at 6 to go to work.
The BW3 meets were sweet too in Arvada, close to the house and we owned the trivia games. But like you said, some douches will ruin it for errone. Its getting to be winter again, time to start doing a weekly thing or at least a monthly GTG.

I like HAI because I can accuse people I dont know of being pole smokers.
I also like the lively atmosphere and the funny threads. I don't really like Awdpirates anymore but for the Fort Collins crew because they all judge me on my unwillingness to spend money on status symbols.

I remember back in the day I use to go to HAI meets up north and post like crazy.. Then college hit, between studying and drinking.. well more drinking then studying I didn't have much time for web boards. People go then they come back. But i wouldn't say its gone to shit by any means.
