I'm building up my media library on my new computer, so I wanted to get some suggestions. I mainly listen to older rap like dr. dre the chronic, snoop dog doggy style, too short, nwa, but I also listen to a lot of stuff like the roots, common, etc.

I'm sure i'm missing a bunch of good stuff though.

Tribe Called Quest, Three Six Mafia, and Wu Tang come to mind. This is a little off the Genre, but go check out U.N.K.L.E. an tell me what you think. Its a Dj Shadow side project.

I'm surprised no one mentioned N.O.R.E. , Cannibus, Common, Lords of the Underground. I don't listen to a lot of rap but along with Tupac, Dre. , Outkast, Older Snoop and the occasional Ludacris the above mentioned are some of my staples.
