Ok people, i am done with my stock k03 turbo. I can't stand the hardcore rediculous boost spikes any more(24psi spike and 12psi at redline). 14.0 is good, but i want 12.xx. Here is the setup that i'll partake in during the winter months. Any suggestions or help would be greatly apreciated.

T3 super 70@25psi w/ internal wastegate(for now)...$700
atp turbo manifold...$500
atp 3" down pipe...$200
custom 3" exhaust...$200
atp(tall version) or spearco front mount intercooler...$300-500
atp computer software...$500
01ITG#700 custom piping for intercooler and misc. stuff...$???
Clutch Master stage III clutch...Christmas gift
apexi digital boost controler...$???
larger injectors...$???
I hope that this setup will get me 12's w/ slicks

Things that will be sold to help fund project
apr ecu w/ 91 and 100 octane programs...$400 org=$600
atp 3" down pipe w/ dump tube...$200 org=$280
techtonics 2.5" cat back exhaust...$250 org=$360
2 JL 10" subs w/kenwood 600w amp...$250=$500
nuespeed pflow intake...$50 org=$230
my dog...j/k

If anyone is interested in any of the things i have for sale pm me or hit me up at tyler-johnson@worldnet.att.net

sounds like a good start to me. the only thing that might help you is an lsd of somekind to help in the traction department(you think its bad now...) and maybe some asprin for the headache if you have some tuning issues:D

In your list of things to do:
atp 3" down pipe...$200

In your list of things to sell:
atp 3" down pipe w/ dump tube...$200 org=$280

please explain, I'd think you'd still want that dump tube.

downpipe he curently has wont fit on the new turbo, so he will have to replace it. the dumptube is a custom piece installed on the race section where the cat would normally go, the race section goes from 3" and tapers down to 2.5" i believe so it will be replaced with the custom 3" full exhaust. Am i wrong here tyler? none the less you might want to think about putting a dumptube on the new exhuast, it cant hurt right...

by the way....are you willing to sell the race section seperately than the downpipe? I have a chris green dp but need the race section and I was planning to get a dumptube with it. It would make it alot easier for me to buy it in one piece instead of having an exhaust shop make one for me

I might be able to work something out with you...Troy can get me either down pipe for 190 and they are like 240 retail + custom dump is like 40 bucks....I don't think a dump would be benifitial for a big turbo because i'll need more back pressure, the k03 allready has back pressure the way it is. I forgot about larger injectors...how much are those?

you will need more back pressure??? who the hell told you that? the best exhaust for a turbo is NO EXHAUST!! back pressure is NOT GOOD.

thats what i was think to with a turbocharged car. if its n/a then maybe its different

BoraTurbo

wouldn't a big turbo take a realy long amount of time to spool with no back pressure at all? I know that with the dump tube open on my current turbo, i lost a ton of low end power. I can't even imagine what i would lose with a bigger turbo.

BoraTurbo

i think i'm changing my mind to the t04E insted of the super 70, more power and cheaper:)

I can help you with pricing and such, just let me know when you are getting ready to order.

I will also have an intercooler kit out in the next couple months so that should save you some cash as well.

BoraTurbo

are you selling just the core in the intercooler kit? I looked at spearco's site and they have tons of sizes. I'm thinking 3", 10", 20"....

changed turbo again, t04E is too big, it'll take for ever to spool, i'm thinking t3/t4b or e...

dude, I'll buy some of your old stuff. Let me know before you really sell anything, like the downpipe or exhaust.

BoraTurbo

i keep on changing my mind.... Now i'm thinking that i should just get the atp stage III kit w/out ballbearings for a total of 2,699 without the intercooler. it might be cheaper that way...i think with the atp stage III and boost bumped from 17(street) to 24(track use only) i could pull a mid to low 13 second pass.

brandon...i'll sell you my turbo back exhaust and apr chip for $800 total, if i was stock, i would jump all over that deal.

BoraTurbo
10-14-2002, 02:30 PM
it would be easy too cause we could just trade ecu units, you give me your stock one and i'll give you my apr one...

let me see what I can do cash wise.

BoraTurbo

Tyler, the intercoolers will be a complete kit with piping. Mark is doing the tubing so maybe we could set you up as a test fit or something.

BoraTurbo

I would love to be the test car... I have to get the front mount on the car before i put the stage III on anyway because joel will charge me a ton more if he has to put a front mount on also.

I'm really interested in those parts. Do the Jetta and GTI differ at all? If not, I'm really interested in the chip, dp, exhaust, and intake. Let me know...

BoraTurbo
10-15-2002, 09:23 AM
Cool...there for sale. I don't know if the intake is though cause i think i can use it on my stage III. I'll sell the chip, downpipe w/dump, and cat back for $800 bucks. Beleive me, that is a steel.

I can probably have the money by this weekend for sure. I'm still waiting for my student loans to kick in, so as soon as they do, I'm ready when you are. There's a 90% chance they'll be in by the end of the week, and I'll be in Denver on Sunday so if they're available, I can help you pull them or do whatever you need me to do.
