My brothers remote start function on his alarm stopped working.

We think its the rpm wire that is not hooked up any more.

I use to have the install guide, but I lost it.

Does anyone have the guide, or can the tell me which wire is the rpm wire?
We have a purple/white wire that is not hooked up, I think that may be the rpm wire.

for sure violet/white is tach go to any wire at the injector is not uniform ie... if every injector has an orange wire dont tap that wire

What kind of car? I can tell you what wire to tap it to.
You can turn off that tach wire and use voltage sense.

Its a 92 eclipse GSX.

The wire we found was hooked up at one point. I think my brother disconnected it when he removed his afc.

What I really need to know is, is the purple/white wire the rpm wire? It comes out of a little 4or 5 wire connector on the brain.
I know where to tap for the rpm signal on the ecu.

yes and it should be small like 20-22ga.

Sweet, I just edited my post about the wire connector.
Guess well hook it up and see what happens.

Do we have to let the alarm "learn" the rpm signal some how, or will it do that with the car running?
