Anyone know where to get or have a deep sounding muffler? I am about to have an exhaust put on the rex soon for emissions. I dont want a typical fart cannon that is loud and annoying. I would prefer something deep sounding. Im looking for something fairly local, near lakewood or denver area. I was just gonna use a damn Cherry bomb/resonator thing, but decided to ask here first. As always thanks in advance.

I have a tanabe on my black CRX as well and its pretty good sounding. I've also had a ES oval muffler on a rex and had a muffler shop make me a tip for it. Looks stock and sounds close to it.

Where would I buy and Oval Es? As of now Im prolly just gonna slap a glass pack on it for a muffler.

That where I got the idea to do mine.

You can get muffler from JHPUSA.com or Inlinefour.com They are ~110 shipped.

If you want a full catback exhaust system, get the Apex-i WSII. Less than $400 and quiet as well as subtle. I painted mine black for extra stealth.

Both cars have the WSII, the hatch is black, the coupe is polished.

If you want a really subtle looking exhaust for the rex buy http://www.optionsauto.com/prodinfo.asp?number=HKS-LES-H05

Only downside is it's a 2 inch piping, not 2 1/4. Sounds pretty good too.

I did a 22" glasspack with a Magnaflow muffler, the system was 2.5" on my Prelude (2.0l engine). With the cat, N/A, it sounded great, I got compliments about how nice it sounded all the time. With turbo, no cat, it sounded even better.

+1 I have this system on both my cars. It sounds great nice and quite and WOT killer.its kind of hard to run it on a EF chassis but it can work.

the longer the resonator the less raspy the tone , but wouln't hurt the performance

From past experience. I would reccomend the greddy evo2 exhaust.. sounds very good. Nice deep sound, not buzzy at all.

I just went the cheap route, and bought a Damn cherry bomb, which they used as a muffler. Doesn't sound bad at all. I hate the raspy ass Bumble Bee cannons, so this works fine...because I don't care about looks.
