I have a 95 Integra and when I try to start it up in the mornings or at night, the engine just cranks and won't start up. However, during the day when the weather is warm, the car seems to start up just fine. I tried starting the car just recently and it almost started but died and now it continues to just crank and not start. Usually if I keep trying cranking the engine, I can eventually get the car to start. Autozone checked my battery and said it was fine but I don't know if I believe them. Could it maybe be my starter? Please help. Thanks.

Um.. doubt it is your starter if the car hot-starts. I would guess something electrical.
If it is really cold outside when you intitially start up your car it could be a bad connection somewhere.
Are you trowing any codes that could indicate an O2 sensor problem or other closed-loop issue? The only thing that makes me think that's possible is that it tried to start on you once.

check the cca's battery rating(cold cranking ampres) and does it crank slowly or normal

I had the same issue with a Civic and it was the main relay the sodler points were going bad and in the cold the points were not making a connection.

I just did one of those fixes on an Accord a few weeks 9months?) back. That's another possibility. When it was this issue, it was agonizingly inconsistent.

Thanks for all the advice guys. Turns out it was a bad distributer cap and rotor. Glad it was a small and easy fix.
