It really depends on how much of a mess you have going on but I would start at $350.

We do them as well, prices really depend on how crazy you want to get. Minor tucks from $300, major tucks and relocations are upwards of $1200.

I really am a bitch when it comes to wiring."chicken: I've seen the thread on honda-tech and it's 400 some-odd pages long. Just wondering prices people would charge, and wondering who's down to do this. Thanks for the responses guys.

_whitecrx_ I'd love to see pics of your bay.

youve seen mine, which was pretty basic and would be cheap. Or you could talk to ladio about his, he might be interested in doing it like that for some cash.

im down, i have the sodering iron, just no wire.. because basically its extending wires, or getting a custom harness... let me know if u need help im always down to lend a hand.. but being my first time, means it could take us some time... such as a few hours.. lol.. well no.. take fenders off, extend the front wires down the firewalls, just dont know how they tuck the wires that are for the fusebox, and other things in the back ya know?

If you are just looking for a basic tuck I can work with you on the price.

Spoon92

Well, I already have the headlights tucked. Didn't even have to remove the fenders. Just pulled the wheels and liners, and went in that way. Fairly easy. No cutting, no extending, just rerouting.

The red circles are the wires I'm looking to "hide". Thoughts?

Shouldn't be that hard at all.

There are a couple ways to do that part. Move it downward and keep it visible but very low (the cheap way) or extend all the wires and run them through the frame rail into the cab. (esspensive way)

invest in a DVM, a nice soldering iron, and go to town. Shit that will prob take a long ass time... GL

It doesn't take all that long. I did it on my EK and it wasn't that bad. It only took me ~1 week working on it 1-2 hours a night. I'll never do it again so next time I think I'll just pay Tobi to do it.

If some one is going to do it them selfs I'd recomend getting 2 wire harnesses and just gutting off the plugs with wires and saldering them into the other one. This way you will keep all the oem wires and all the wiris will match and still be to oem spec. Also I'd recomend using shrink tubes to cover the solder. Just some things from personal experience.

I did mine last winter... I switched to the Autronic SM4 and built an entire new harness from that flying lead. Lot of fun :)

Here's a few pics before I put the turbo back on with the tuck.. I can't find any with the turbo on :(

Notice how I tucked my distributor too ;)

It'll be even cleaner this time around once I reassemble the engine.

For the ground on the valve cover, get some black power cable and run it along the valve cover to the side and ground it near the engine mount.

I tucked mine, rebuilt my harness and have had no problems, ok IACV but that is at the connector, lol. pm me if you need any pointers on anything. If you decide to rebuild your harness you won't have to extend anything. Just shorten wires. I can post pics too if you want. I plan on full brake line tuck and bay shave/repaint this winter.

floored4door is the only engine bay that I have seen with a wire tuck, real clean, plus I just gave him a powersteering removal kit so it should come out very nice, I been working on mine for some time now on my DC2 teggy. almost done just waiting for a full body paint job(enginebay/doorjams/ front to rear body paint and new windows. lol.

if it wasent for floored4door I wouldent had done mine. damit I should of been driving by now!!!!
