Well I dont have any experience in the 1st gen B16's I am looking at a 5th gen Civic that has one in it and I might pick it up. But I need PS and AC for my family the car is an EX and has the components but the motor does not have the brackets, compressors etc.

Is it possible to get AC & PS with a 1st gen B16A into a 92-95 Civic? If so what do I need etc.?

As always any and all help is greatly appreciated!!

EDIT: Whoops forgot to ask anyone have a link to a chart or something so I can identify which first gen B16 it is by head codes block stamp etc.?

If you buy new brackets/pumps everything will work fine. They are designed just like any other b-series vtec engine.

maybe some ps and ac brackets from a integra and the lines and compressors from the civic. might need a integra ps pump also i think its alittle different than the d-series ps pump on the civics.

You need a GSR or B16 power steering brackets, then a b-series vtec power steering pump. Any b-series ac compressor will work.

Right on thanks fellas I really appreciate it.

Is there any benifit to putting a SIRII head on that 1st gen block, also will a B16 Super charger fit all B16's as well as the first gen?

I don't think their would be any benefit, other than the SIRII head would be newer. Yes b16 super charger will fit all b16's as well as the first gen.

If the skunk2 intake manifold is for a b16 it will work fine.

Yeah no problem man. Its really up to you but id personally just get a b18 block and use a b16 or GSR head and run ls/vtec.

for power steering you have to have a VTEC power steering pump bracket. LS or not vtec does NOT fit.

If you are going go turbo or supercharger eventually id go with the b18 for its lower compression. On the other hand VTEC is fucking fun. Id just combine the two and go ls-vtec

I know that this post is a couple weeks old, but FYI: a CR-V ac bracket/mount will fit your factory a/c compressor, so you wont have to worry about breaking the lines loose and re-charging the system. Hope that helps!
