So I'm watching the end of the broncos game, and a comercial comes on with all these nicely fixed up civcs that look like car show type cars all mobbing around together in a downtown of an unknown city. At the end, a marquie comes up that says Civic Nation - by Honda.

Waay cool, Honda's getting the point.

Honda does acknowledge that their cars are very popular among the tuner crowd and yes,the ricey crowd too. It just shows how popular Hondas are.

At first I thought it was a new commercial for "The Fast and the Furious II". :D

Yeah, there are a lot of neon lights under the cars, which I frown upon, made me think of "the movie" (I try not to mention it by it's full name.)

I'm thinking "uncle ben", but I'll withhold comment. :)

Yeah that commercial was pretty crazy. I also thought it was a FATFII commercial.

I guess Hondas trying to acknowledge the import crowd, but couldn't they have left out the formation driving and "reresent!"?

I thought it was pretty ricey.

Instead of spending all that money to shower us with rice, They could have been working on bringing over the Type R's. idiots.

true dat, now if only honda made a 1.8T (they probably never will, but if they did) you guys would have some serious competition!

That's like saying, "well if VW had a twin turbo inline 6 toyota supra's better watch out". I don't think honda is going to come out with a turbo motor in the near future.

That's why in parenthensis, you'll notice I put "they probably never will"

Besides, Surpas already have to watch out for other cars out there, like I'm thinking stock for stock, an S4 would keep with a Supra maybe? Or closer yet, supra vs. RX-7.

The S4 is 250hp stock and the Supra is 320hp stock. The S4 is as low as 5.5 0-60 and the Supra is as low as 4.6 0-60. You are probably talking about a full second difference in the 1/4 mile too. So I recommend just getting both. :D

Honda does already make turbo engines, but, of course, japan only.

Honda City Turbo IIhttp://anzu.sakura.ne.jp/~gannos/carrera/image/city_1.jpg

Then there's Honda's version of the turbo AWD. Shame it has only 63hp, out of a SOHC 600cc.

The generally accepted numbers @ sea level:

Toyota Supra Twin Turbo: 0-60 in 5.0, 1/4mi at 13.5.

Audi S4: 0-60 in 5.9, 1/4 at 14.4

My window regulator broke in my 89 Legend, and they were about to in my 96 Integra. I finally saw that comercial. I think it was stupid how they had all the rice, but they really had no other choice.

VW released an update for the regulators, they are no longer an issue! All regulator claims will be covered by warantyand get the update even if you are out of waranty. You could also just take it in and get the new regulator just so you don't have to deal with it in the future. It is $60.

The only commerical that makes me madder than that is the one where the supra has hydros and a lot of stickers. I wake up with nightmares thinking about that.

No doubt... with the red and white Supra? I hope I never see something like that on the streets. What a shame...
