My brother in law has a 1977 bus with a blown motor and not only are those oldies difficult to find parts for, it seems everyone knows everything but can not answer my simple questions..... Any specialists around here? I was looking to put in a 914 motor but again those questions... Argh v-dumb.
They are VERY easy to get parts for, you just have to go to a Bug specialty shop. There are a couple of great catalogs you can order online. There was one in Old Town Arvada that I always used to go to, but I forgot what it's called.

I have a fair amount of experience with VW motors of all types- feel free to give me a ring and I can see what I can do to help you.

"Al Bugs Me" here in Fort Collins..
Or do an EJ-22 Subaru swap (sounds like perfect timing). Many kits available- try Small Car in Tacoma Washington.

I thought al's was gone? randys in arvada is gone too, Nuvintage on sheridan is a good source, or Uber auto werks in longmont is awsome too!
Randy's in Arvada is the one I was thinking of. I used to go in there and bug them all the time when I had my '73 Super Beetle.

Is Scotty's Auto Recycling in Greeley still doing VW's?
(Love you, Noss)
