Its snowing and My climate control is shot in My REX. Is there any kind of alternative means to defrost my front window? DO they make any heaters that can be rigged up in the car?
Thanks.

Turn your ventilation to fresh rather than recirculate.

On the inside? or the out? I can stand cold, just cant handle not being able to see out.
RainX makes a product specifically for preventing Fog, should be sold right next to the regular RainX at walmart. I have that on the inside of the windows. The climate control in my CRX isn't all that great either, i just crank it and it seems to do ok with the RainX stuff. If it starts to fog at all i just crack a window and it clears up.

My crx climate control doesnt blow, it simply just makes heat when I drive. So hopefully this anti fog mess will work.

so you mean your blower motor is out...

Well the unit itself is busted to shit...so The controls arnt exactly intact. Cannot turn blower on at all.
As in the slider for the motor won't work, or the motor just doesn't come on? Not trying to insult your intelligence here but, have you checked the Blower Motor fuse? It's in the cabin fuse box if i remember correctly.

So rainX on the inside itis!
It comes in a black box and it says;
"Interior Glass
Anti-Fog™"
Works well on mirrors as well.

Drive with the window fully down!!! When I got a short in the heater motor, I drove the whole winter with the window down. it was cold but there's no fog.
I did smear some radiator coolant on the windshield from the inside, it work good but it kinda streaky looking.

Got this stuff and seemed to work. RAINX anti fog is tits, I just have to rock some ear muffs and gloves in the car the whole time.
Good deal, glad that worked out for you.

I had a 90 civic that wouldn't blow the heat it was breathing out of the vents. I think my switch went bad or something. Anyway I pulled out the not working blower motor, and got power to it and it worked! So I wired it to the battery with a nice 20 amp switch and called it good. It was only the one speed, but that is better than no heat. Have you tried sending some power directly to the motor?

Damn thats genius! And a helluv alot cheaper then a new climate control unit! I will have to mess with it and test the blower! Thanks a mill!
