now that the question has been asked...here's a link to what mine looked like a few months ago What a 6000 is (http://www.atxracing.com/jeffz/jeffz.html)
but basically, it's a 4 door, GM a-body sedan that has 3 different trim levels.
6000 - just basic stuff
6000 LE - luxury edition
6000 STE - AWD edition

hrmm..where is the racing scene in Dallas? I've been down there a few times in my Si...never been able to find too much street excitement? Rolled thru downtown when I'm there however...lots of people...saw some pretty nice imports with some really hot girlies...liked that. Anyway...I'm there at least once a year (for QuakeCon) so maybe you can tell me where to look for some fun next year? :)
And welcome aboard.

Where exactly is Royse City? I'm just just north of Houston. Place called The Woodlands. not sure if you've heard of it. it's getting pretty big now.
I looked at your profile. You don't like open wheel racing? I'm curious as to why you don't like it.

Royse City is east of Dallas. i know where The Woodlands are, i lived in Magnolia for 12yrs. ;)
i just don't care for open wheel racing (ie - irl, cart, sprint, etc), just something i never got a feel for.

actually i try to stay away from the race scene in dallas....the cops are getting really bad lately. they'll bust you for just about anything they see as "racing behavior". i go to the 1/8 track in denton just north of ft. worth on friday nights.
but if you really want to see something of the race scene go to: www.thedfwscene.com
If you ever drove an open wheeled car and felt what 4g's of lateral acceleration felt like, you might get a FEEL for it.
P.S. Don't get me wrong, I have never been in one, but I read an articel that said for $1,000 you could get a ride in a purpose built two seater for 6 laps or so. That sounds like fun to me.

hell yeah, that would be a ton of fun.
oval races just get too repetitive. and drag racing is fun to watch, but half the time they red light or smoke the tires halfway down the track (which is still impressive)

i've just always been a fan of NASCAR, NHRA, etc...but lately i've come to like watching WRC on the speed channel

i just noticed i never answered this question, oops. the racing scene in dallas moves around a lot...kinda comes with the no tolerance policy the police have. most racers go to the local tracks now to race since they have street nights.
