Sportmax 002 Size Question - 88 CRX

Ok guys I need a definitive answer and who better to go to then you all.

I contacted a vendor as a referral from a friend regarding picking up some Sportmax 002's in 15" x 7. The vender warned me about clearance issues stating, "15x6.5 is the recommended size for the EF CRX/Civic. You can try 15x7 but it is at your own risk, let me know whch you wanted to go wtih ;]"

Do I need to find a different wheel or will this one work?

The inside of my 15x6.5's rub about 3/4 - 1" of the inside of the tire on the front with about a 1.5 - 2" drop. The only way to keep them from rubbing completely is to raise it to monster truck gaps. :( So yeah, 15x7 might be too much, unless you're up to beating on the inside of the well a bit. :P

I'm sure someone with more experience could probably give you a more definitive answer though.
