Wasn't there a magazine (actually i know there was) that did an article on a turboed Si and GS-R <-Is this VTEC? or was it a Type R http://24.8.28.79/ubb/confused.gif?
I think the same magazine a month later did an article of the same cars but with the blowers on them.
Didnt the blowers make more power?
Does any remember what magazine it was? I think it was Max Power but not sure...
I just wanted to know the numbers is all for a friends reference...

THey make similar peak HP at the same boost levels, but the blowers make a lot more down low. The main problem in the magazines is that they usually compare a blown SI at 6psi to a turbo si at 8 or 10 psi of boost, obvously the turbo will make more power then...

I'd say psi for psi the turbo car would be faster. Turbos just don't have any drag on the motor, like the pully from the SC.
The supercharger is going to be more drivable though. My car feels like a 8500rpm V6, with good torque off idle, and great high end.
Like Brian said though, it's hard to compare. Boost differences, compressor size, intercooling all make the equation that much harder.

If one of you turbo guys wants to strip your car downt o my weight and go head to head with a blower we could test it out.
What? no takers? who needs that stupid interior anyways?

on 8 lbs of boost? no way. ( I was going to go for the 3 cylinders too but that wound might be a little fresh to start poking at. ;))

I'll do some weight reduction if you want Tobi. I'll even stay at 6.5psi too. Maybe then I'll dip into the mid-Low 13's:) on street tires.

Yeah, just remember the good old days... before Stu turned into a drunk Miata-loving slut, back when David was known as 4g63_kickass and wasn't even old enough to drive his broken ass DSM, before myshtern and TealCivic were even born, back when Ashton drove a purple accord and claimed to own an RX-7, and so on...
