Colorado Rally 2007 - Steamboat Springs

Wow, what an amazing experience! I have a friend that shoots for Rockstar drinks, and he flew in from Seattle this weekend for the Colorado Cog Rally. He was able to get me a media pass, as well as get to crash with him in his suite. Pretty fuckin kick ass town, and I gotta say......I won't be able to go to a big motorsports event again without a media pass, its simply amazing how close you can get to the cars. At one inside corner I was roughly 2 feet from Travis Pastrana's STi going 60 mph around a wet corner :D

Day 1 on Saturday was miserably hot. Almost 90 degrees, sparse clouds in the sky. And dusty as shit!!! We were located in sharp corner where they could get air going one way and one way they would drop down

Day 2 was a completely different story......it rained all night, and all day. And I totally don't have the equipment for rainy weather, I had a coat and such, but forgot my boots and anythjing else water proof....and keeping my camera dry was a challenge

I was in steamboat and saw all the signs for the rally bud didnt know it was actually that weekend. Had I known I might have tried to find it. We went to the strawberry peak/park hotspring.

Thats actually the co-driver, and SHE is hot as shit!! The driver is Travis Foust, thats the crew that flew out my buddy. We got to chill with him saturday night after the races. Rally spectating and interacting is so crazy compared to any other motorsports event....when the cars pull in for the evening, they have a gathering, and you can actually sit in their cars. Go into the pits and help them wash their cars, its quite different then any other motorsports event I've been to. Travis Pastrana was chillin and talking with everyone.

The crew in one of the Subaru's pulled out, and reinstalled a tranny in their STi in 22 minutes..fuckin amazing!

I've been to the rally for the last 3 years. This year's field grew significantly larger than I remember in years past which was awesome to see.

What's funny is that I always forget my camera. Thanks to you, I didn't need it. Great work! :rockon:

The female co-driver of the 02-ish Silver WRX went to highschool with a few people on this board; the owner included. Anybody remember Becky Greek?
